I have no idea what you are talking about. Explain in clear words what you do, what you expect to happen, and what actually happens.

Edited by: Asier on 19/03/2006 19:32:35 A more complete way to say this, using complete sentences:
When using the control+click method in the overview to lock a target, it's rather annoying to click twice and have a show-info box for the target pop up. Similar situations occur when under heavy client lag, as the time between one control-click and another seems to be measured by how fast the client responds.
Example 1: I'm camping a gate, and a target jumps thru and decloaks. I hold control and click the target in my overview to lock, but accidentally click twice because I'm excited. Show-info window pops up when all I wanted was a lock.
Example 2: I'm in a fleet battle, 50vs80 (myself being the 80 of course ^^), and I'm given my primary. I control-click primary, but nothing happens to acknowledge that I'm locking him. I wait a second... and nothing, so I control-click again to be sure. Ten seconds or so later, I'm locking AS WELL AS opening a show-info window, lagging me further.
Did I capture the essence of the problem, nobody?
And I submitted a bug report, because if I'm going to type this... why not :P

Easy fix would be to just remove the dubble click = show info. No need for special fix when ctrl is held down or anything because while I can't speak for everyone I know I have never used that functionality intentionaly. If I want to get the info I right click and choose show info and I would think the majority does the same. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ideally - customizable action for double-clicking items (not just in the overview). Better double-click detection under stress as well...
