Seriously?!? You fix this in less than four hours, yet we've had to deal with the headache and nausea inducing gate transition animation for 7 MONTHS without so much as an update after we were first promised "improvements?"
The lack of consistency in addressing customer graphics issues is disgusting. Why a switch on/off? Because the new animation doesn't add anything to gameplay and it's graphically annoying. In other words, it's worse than bad: it's useless. Simple as that.-á-á-á-á-á - Kina Ayami |

Would it (mathematically) be hard to fuse the mesh of multiple bubbles client-side, and apply a single semi-transparent texture? What we see here are endless layers of transparency on top of each other, nothing more.
Clouds look terrible to boot. |

While its nice we're getting to disable clouds after literally years of community begging, why in the world are you lumping it with the "effects" ticker? I want to disable the ugly, resource hogging clouds without totally disabling practically every other pretty particle effect in the game that doesn't cause any problems. |

It's not that I don't like the clouds...hell, I run EVE with max settings sometimes just to see how cool things are. Thing is, after the 10th mission where everything is framestuttering because the whole room is buried in a bright-ass cloud....

The solution here, which didn't even take 2 hours, is the exact same type of solution many of us are asking for with the stargate animation. Just a simple toggle switch. Maybe CCP Mankiller can work some of his magic there too? |
