Well not a noob, but for the lower sped pilot.
I'm still working on the basic skills, but I'm wondering if any of the BS's work 'better' with lower skills. Be it mixed weapon loads outs or fitting requirements/drones that favor vets, is there a BS can be 'maxed out' with the least skill points?

a raven would probably be your best bet, you can be very effective in pve with a minimum of skillpoints. maxing out is easier also, as tech 2 missiles require much less skills than their turret equivalents.

you can be somewhat effective in a domi with just EW, Drone, and vampire skills along with a basic set of tanking and cap skills. Skill sets most notably not really required for a domi pilot would be gunnery and missiles. Most other BS's require some measure of either gunnery or missiles to add effectiveness to their presence on the field.

Edited by: Takahashi Clutch on 10/02/2006 21:14:58 To be effective, a BS requires a decent amount of skills, for offense and tanking. If you are just trying to train your requirements fast enough to just pilot a BS without training any support or gunnery or missile skills you will most likely lose that ship pretty quick.
I can see it done for PVE, but for any PVP it will be difficult vs people using alot of t2 modules and weapons. ______________

Yea that whats I've come to figure out pretty quick
What I'm trying to ask isn't which BS works on someone with only the minium skills, but which require the least amount of 'max' skills to perform at peak. Maybe battleship X is better than Y but X requires you to be have more skills than Y, so Y is better for the noobish.
I'm in no hurry in my noobieness to jump in a BS, I'm just wondering which path to work on for when I am.

That would be the Raven by a long shot,..not as much as before but still quite so.
The dominix is also considered such, as all you aparently need is tank+drone's

Now now Dreez, I bet you love flying a ship smaller than a BS, and finding these people. It'd be like a big fluffy target. Newbs with torps that have less range than my heavies ftw.

Edited by: Jacinto Naysmith on 11/02/2006 02:34:08 Scorpion. Tech 2 jammers only require Electronic Warfare IV. They also only cost about 60 million.
