Hey folks!
Just looking to get my nightly fix and I'm unable to get into the game.
I launch the client and it stays on the splash screen with the ships...never gets to a login page on the client.
Does anyone know if it's offline right now for something..or have any advice on what I can do to correct the issue? Rebooting my machine has no effect either, and I can't remember the IP address the client connects to or I'd check it to see if I can reach it.
Oh, and I can reach everything else on the net, another game...these forums, etc.
Thanks! I look forward to the replies since I'm going through withdrawal. <twitches slightly>

It's up for me. Try again in a few? -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?

The Eve servers have nothing with your client being able to load.
And I'm happily running missions over here, so Eve is quite up at the moment.

Edited by: Brazz SilverPocket on 21/01/2006 00:57:03 Well, I didn't say it had anything to do with the EVE Servers. My client still won't start. I've run a full spyware scan and virus scan..not a thing found wrong anywhere.
I was able to play earlier this morning, but now the client will not start.
I can't think of anything else to try. No infections, spyware, etc. What gives? The client loads and never goes past the splash screen now.
Any ideas?

Edited by: Brazz SilverPocket on 21/01/2006 01:29:29 Well, I did some more digging around and found that EVE keeps a logfile under \ccp\logs
I found SEVERAL files there..all of which logged this evening say this:
File created 2006.01.21 01:12:16 An exception has occurred. It has been logged in the log server as exception #1
Which IS odd since today is 01-20 NOT 01-21
My system does NOT reflect the incorrect date. So I'm at a loss on what the problem could be..I suppose I'll uninstall and reinstall - maybe it'll go away.
It's damn odd though since everything was working perfectly this morning..and nothing changed on my machine in the meantime.
Any ideas? Devs?

Ever think that maybe it converted the time to GMT, which it would have been 01-21 GMT unless you waited more than half an hour to come to the forums.

Yeah, I thought about it...yet I still don't see any issues. It was working this morning, and isn't now..and nothing changed - in fact the machine was off the whole day until I got home from work.
Any ideas?

When I first started playing Eve I had that problem. Go into your directory and delete all files in the "cache" folder. That did the trick for me. If that doesnt work, delete the client and re-download it. _______________________________________________

Always try clearing everything in your cache folder before trying to reinstall. That will usually fix most issues. ----------------------------------------------- "Eve is a sandbox.
