In recent weeks, the Tribal Liberation Force has swept through the systems claimed by the Amarr Empire, in Devoid and the Bleak Lands, driving out the Imperial forces.
At this time, all of the previously Amarr claimed systems are now occupied by Republic forces, allowing the Republic Fleet transports to evacuate any Minmatar people from the planets.
Only a handful of Minmatar systems are under nominal Imperial control, and these will be liberated shortly.
A source within the Tribal Liberation Force say their current efforts in the warzone relate to patrols to keep out any agents of the Amarr Certified News, who may be attempting to produce false footage claiming massacres of non-Minmatar people in the warzones.
Maleatu Shakor has not yet made any announcements regarding the TLF's historic victory, but is expected to comment once the remaining Minmatar systems are resecured.
"It's not about glory, it's about rescuing our kin from the Imperials", said one TLF member. "We took away all our people, only the Ni-Kunni and Ealurian slaves are left on those hideous worlds, and who cares about them?" said another.
Some Republic politicians are agitating for the Fleet to mass for a strike on the Amarr throne worlds, to avenge the Elder Fleet's defeat at Sarum Prime, and to send a loud message to the Empress Jamyl.
Gutter Press will report on these events as needed. |

O Minmatar Militia how great is the wrath you pile up for yourselves in God's holy storehouse.
For every Amarr Navy captain you destroy with your primitive, barbaric projectile weapons will testify against you at your Inquisition before God's holy throne; every "Loyalty Point" you gorge yourself upon will be repaid a hundred times over on the day of God's Judgement.
We in the Crusade will answer to God for our failures in prosecuting God's holiest charge GÇö the Reclaiming GÇö but how much more will you suffer for having committed the greatest of sins GÇö the Un-Reclaiming?
So great is the wrath of God upon you, that only by defection to God's one and only instrument of salvation in this world GÇö the Amarr Empire GÇö might you have any chance at salvation. Better yet, sell yourselves into slavery, that after nine generations of the lash and the collar and the Vitoc may your decendants present themselves righteously before God.

What's the issue here, provided the TLF is taking only those who wish to leave?
Slavery is illegal in Minmatar territory, exactly as it is in State and Federation territory. The Empire signed the CEWPA legislation into law, so the transition of authority has their legal blessing. Any slaves who leave the borders of the Empire are legally freed and can, therefore, make their own decision to relocate. If the TLF are kindly footing the bill of this relocation, then it's certainly not a matter for censure, is it?
You can guarantee that the TLF isn't removing any Matari who wish to stay, right Ms Rhiannon? And it's not carrying out any war crimes or atrocities on the remaining population? |

If it's true that the Shakorite forces can legally emancipate slaves living in territory that they capture, then it logically follows that Amarrian forces can legally enslave anyone in territory under imperial occupation.

That would be a matter of Imperial Law, I believe Mr Blake. It's certain that they could enslave those who commit the sort of crimes for which people are habitually enslaved in the Empire. Legally and with the blessing of the Matari government, who signed the selfsame legislation that makes the emancipation of slaves in the sectors they occupy legal.
I don't think it's legal to just enslave people willy-nilly though, is it?

I'm frankly quite outraged that the 'liberators' in this situation would be so cruel so as to become part of the slave trade by refusing to participate in its dissolution on anything but the most racist level possible. Do they forget so easily that many of them would still be enslaved if not for assistance from those from outside of any of their 'tribes'?
This is the real tragedy here. I can only request of the gods that other TLF members will not follow in the footsteps of this slaver-enabler.

That was not the topic, Pieter and you know it.
The article puts forward that these people are being left there because they're not of the prescribed race, as opposed to any matter of consent. It is a concerning development, and I'd note that the Federation continues to offer support to all refugees and immigrant in equal measure, regardless of such concerns. |

Not without precedent
http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/entire-colony-of-minmatar-slaves-goes-missing-1/
You will see here, that Minmatar persons, raiding a slave training facility, only took away the Minmatar slaves, and left the Ealurian and Ni-Kunni slaves behind.
Indeed, the Ealurians and Ni-Kunni were, forced back into their cells, when the raiders saw they were not Minmatar.
Not just left behind, no. The raiders also took away all the weapons, with which those Ealurians and Ni-Kunni might have been able to fight for their freedom.
So, instead, the Ealurian and Ni-Kunni were, quite knowingly, abandoned to be slaves. No freedom for them.
If this is a "concerning development", it is most definitely not a recent one.
Remember, they say "we come for our people", not "we come for all the slaves". |

It is interesting how the same people can point out that were all slaves liberated, the Republic would struggle to provide for them all, and criticize the fact that when slaves are set free, we take in our own first. How can you require that when our resources are critically low, we use them to take care of other peoples' business? We are not Sisters of Eve, we are the Minmatar Republic.
That said, it is not unusual for Minmatar forces to take on board of evacuation vessels slaves of other races when there is room to do so, or in a hurry just take anyone they can board fast. Prioritizing kin does not mean we are heartless.

One of my masters told me, that real desire of slaves or former slaves is not to liberate themselves or get their "freedom", but rather to became slavers themselves and have their own slaves. Better - have their former owners as slaves.
When the conflict started, the Empire was in quite peaceful relations with the... uh... Minmatar Republic, but they attacked anyway. Why? Revenge and desire to enslave their former slavers. It is just like fight for freedom, where freedom is a synonym for chaos and destruction. This is not a "Minmatar Republic", this is rather an angry mob of frenzied tribals, who want to destroy and dominate. And it is our duty to fight them.
Think for yourself, are you standing on the right side in this conflict? |

I picked my side less by choosing to be with someone than by the fact that if the Minmatar do not stand united against the Empire with its Reclaiming policies, sooner or later we will be ran over, and my kin will be enslaved.
If that threat did not exist, I would not give a damn about what, say, the Brutor tribe did, as long as they paid back that courtesy. My only quarrel with the Caldari State is your aid to the Empire. In the current struggle, my opinions about the morality of the Minmatar Republic's actions as a whole are, unfortunately, almost completely irrelevant.

There was a time when I viewed the existence of The Republic and the existence of the State as mutually exclusive. I thought their values were antithetical to the survival of a healthy social organism and that the Minmatar served anarchy rather than order, that their individualism threatened to pollute the code of duty and honor that form the stiff backbone of the Caldari citizen.
Such misguided opinions seeped into me osmotically during my time in the Empire, where I was stationed to crosstrain in Amarr and Caldari ship design. I now recognize that the strengths that bind the Caldari are much the same as those that bind the Minmatar. Constructs like "state" and "tribe" are of less concern to a people than the values that serve to defend those constructs. The irony is that it is those values that solidify our loyalty to the State and pit us against the Minmatar, but I do not think this will be a permanent condition as I once did.
The time will come when circumstances force us to recognize that the Minmatar need not be our enemy. Indeed, if our "allies" turn on us we may find that the Minmatar are not so deserving of our derision. |
