I've done a good lot of level 3 missions (Gallente Fed Navy - Command qual 18), and have had about 24 offers from this agent thus far. A breakdown of these offers goes something like this: 2 tech 2 ship BPC's (one of which asked for the ship from the first offer in exchange) 1 4-run comet bpc - was something like 40k lp and 200,000,000 credits! 6 implant offers - usually lots of perception basics and willpower betas 15 hardwiring offers - I've got no idea why the agent ever thinks i'll pay 50k lp + stuff for a hardwiring worth 2 mil.
First of all, why on earth do agents value hardwirings so high? I'm sorry, a +3% shield boost is not worth 20k lp. Second, why so many implant offers? I know some of the agents give certain things more then others but while my friends have gotten multiple skillbook offers and other things worthwhile I keep getting implants or hardwirings (80% of the time). Third, ok, enough whining, let's propose something to fix it. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to have a choice of offers at once? Maybe set at 4 different tiers, one at 25% of total current lp, one at 50%, another at 75%, and a fourth at 100%. That way you can have a choice of the stuff to get. Maybe I have 100k lp and want those military connections at 25k lp. Give me the option. Another option would be to have a few offers for different kinds of items, say one for agent items (factions ships, etc) one for implants/hardwirings (the GOOD ones), and one for misc rewards (isk, regular ships, etc). For the love of god get rid of the hardwiring offers if at all possible. They're just terrible when you compare the relative value/use of them to regular implants or any of the agent only items (connections skillbooks, faction bpcs, etc).
Maybe I'm right. Maybe I'm crazy. Give me some feedback here folks.

love the idea of tier offers, woud realy rock
3-4 tiers woud be quite perfect, even two diffrent offers woud be incredibly nice, and also make quite a lot of sense
also, yes, the hardwiering implants are just silly from time to time :P

I think a "buy list" would be cool instead of the standard offer system. Having to wait at 15k or 200k or whatever for your desired offer is kinda irritating.

Having a buy list *would* be nice but i wouldnt expect to get 100mill for the skillbooks anymore, they would likely drop to 20ish mill due to their availability. Same with other stuff like that.

Is anyone else getting all the hardwirings and things like that? Or is this just happening to me?

There's already a fix implemented for this. It's called the decline option. In all honesty, if you don't like the offer, don't take it. If you want a different offer around that amount of LP, do one mission a day and decline the offer you get every day. EDIT: I think you get better offers in low sec. I jsut got 2 +3 int implants for 20k lp and 300k worth of stuff.

What I think they should so is have it track the percentage of times each offer is accepted or declined, things alot of people take should go up in lp, undesirable offers go down.... eventually a balance would be reached

Wow you get an artistic note of 9.9 for your stupidity.
First, people might want or even NEED to play more than one mission a day (especially those who need cash).
Second, any mission you complete means you get LP. So at some point you won't be able to get the offer you want because you have too much LP.
In case you hadn't noticed, agents will always give you the largest offer that your LP can afford you. If you go beyond the offer you want, your only option is to accept the next largest offer, so your LP go down. Then you start again until you reach the level of the offer you want.
That might be fine if you seek a 10-LP offer for 100 small missiles... but a guy seeking a CN Raven offer would sooner storm CCP's offices and ransom the dev's, don't you think ?
The idea of tiers is a very good one.
But why not simply have the agent grant you access to ALL offers you can get ? Sort of a market with LP price-tags ?
As it is right now, an agent thinks you should have a CN Raven but that small missiles are too good for you.

the current LP systems offers the good the bad and the ugly youre choice is to ignore the offers do anothre mission wait another 24-48 hours (run several agents at once if this is youre approach)
More implants now because they were lacking - boost implants = lower prices - CCP make balances all the time - im noticing now more skillbooks esp advanced science ones i guess CCP are trying to seed that element into the game
Same goes for RAM chips, Large NOS as a time bonus. They make little hotfixes all the time to keep outputs balanced. So if 100 +4 implant offers and 100 Advanced science books offers were offed and only the 100 +4 impalnts were taken CCP would double the skillbooks for a period and reduce the implants. Im a happy little camper now - CCP 4tw. |

yah.. buy list.

Proposal: LP Shop, where you can see and buy things for LP.
Proposal: Merge all LP for all agents in the same corp.

I keep getting offered 3% hardwiring aswell...
I really don't know why my agent bothers. The last offer i accepted was at 15k LP for a +3 willpower implant, and now my agent has the idea that he can chuck any old implants at me and i'll be happy.

I'll second that.
Current LP system sort of means you are loyal to your agent, not your agent's corp.

My agent just offered me 5 different types of 16 each hardwire implants, for 90k lp, all dealing with different aspects of shield use. Before that it was a +4 chrisma. Granted I could have sold the chrisma for a lot of isk. But I am waiting for something I can use. I like the shopping list idea a lot.

I like the Idea of a list of sorts... raise the LP need for the book offers along with the set of 8 imps and a few key others and lower many and it would be fine

i love the idea of a list of offers, just as long as this list is not shared between the whole eve community, lp market? no thanks.. an lp market would mean you would probably never get get an offer you want.
the op has a nice idea, one i have suggested many times.

The thing that really annoys me is that Minmatar agents only offer the +3% damage mod for medium hybrid turrets. I have to feeling that this might be a bug as it most certainly does not match the racial weapon of the Matari.
Other than that, offers are fine, sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you don't.

My suggestion would be when you get an offer you get 3 options to choose from. One of those options is to cash out your LP for ISK, make it a random exponential function meaning you typically will be offering [(Base Price of 1 LP for ISK)*LP]^x thats to the x power which would be a random number like 1.5, but make the higher numbers to be rare and maybe limit it to like 3-5 as the max exponent, but make so that only 0.1% of offers get something at max price and make 50% of the offers being for x being 1 like 1 LP for base price ISK.
I agree Nethawk, offering options for less LP would mean you could take an option.

Agent offers aren't always gifts--since they do sometimes have a monetary cost--but still, beggars can't be choosers. I agree that some flexibility in the offers would be nice. -dSerk |
