You have answered the call to free your imprisoned Minmatar brethren. The time has come to act on your pledge.
This Tuesday evening (8.19.2003) I will be in the Nafomeh solar system. All those willing to risk life and limb to save these poor souls should be in-system at 23:30 GMT. You should attempt to hail me on comms upon your arrival.
The Amarr will not allow me to take custody of these men, women, and children as free people. If I do not hear from you, then I can only assume that their day of liberation has passed them by. I hope that I can find the strength to tell them that even the bravest find the challenge of securing their freedom too daunting a task to pursue. For all but the slaves themselves, it would beàunderstandable.
Should you attempt this act of unprecedented valor, heed this warning: The Minmatar authority's scanners will detect your liberated human cargo as "slaves", and will not hesitate to open fire on your ship. Unless you alert them in advance of your intentions to rescue imprisoned citizens of the Minmatar Republic, you would be wise to bring some formidable firepower with you. There are some other Republics that may be paying attention to these affairs, perhaps even allies that you didnÆt know you had.
But in the end, you may very well wind up fighting your own to save your own. The irony is tragic. For the Minmatar, nothing comes easy.
I will be awaiting your arrival.

Hmm. Interesting. No one has responded to your plea?
Of course, to be successful, one would need to outfit a "special" frigate to deal with this sort of "Chaos". Perhaps my corp. can find one in time.
But if this turns out to be some form of treachery, I do hope the gods will have pity on you because this Minmatar will not.

I feel a major 'situation' between the Holy Amarr Empire and the inhabitants of the dog pound (ooops meant 'free' Minmatar) state will occur at this time and place. Please bring Derkin with you, i need a new hood ornament after the last slave i had strapped there fell off.

I pledge my corp to this mission. The Bleak Cabal will do all in it's power to free these people. Those who are willing to help can contact me for planning.
And if this turns out to be some sort of foul play we will have the same disregard for Draaven's life as courier girl has for mine.

Well, when all slaves are free, there will be no one who can do the work that needs to be done anymore in amarr, since amarrians cant do anything themself... You would just quicken your own downfall. But it saddens me that anyone can kill a being just to revenge itself on another, it's pure cowardice. (But then again, the amarr's havn't exacly been known for bravery, only for foolishness, overconfidence and backstabbing/cowardice.)

Whilst most Minmatar corps are concerned only with freeing slaves our primary concern is the fall of the Empire itself, the means to enslave our people, if we happen to free some slaves along the way then all the better for them.
Get in the way of you dare.
We are in need of some fresh Amarrian corpses for our trophy hangar.....the old ones haven't preserved too well.

Edited by: Muffin Man on 20/08/2003 01:05:53 Well all went without a hitch.
Despite someone named Kaleb making idle threats about our fleet, I don't recall him coming back with his fleet to stop us as he promised.
A very well co-ordinated escort out of Amarrian space, three groups.
Total numbering around 40 ships, 0 casualties.
346 slaves liberated.
Well done to all.
Special thanks to our non Minmatar comrades for their assistance.

Despite the threats and comments made by the Amarrians, we literally walked in and out with these slaves, and not a single shot was fired. I transported all 326 slaves safely to Pator and are now free. Many thanks to all who were involved. The operation was an utter success.

Having spent all day recalibrating the warp coils on my ship, the Necroscope, I was exhausted. Vast energy storms were still battering ship systems and forcing many pilots to temporarily lose control of their ships on a regular basis as they flew through space. By early evening I had decided to call it a day and get some rest. It was disconcerting therefore to awaken to the sound of my comms panel squawking at me.
I sat up groggily and activated the lights. Hmmm, this was weird, the message was urgent but was sent on an open news channel. Even stranger that it was copied in to several others, Torin, Aran'gar and Tehel Necrona.
I did not know the originator, some Caldari calling himself Draaven. The others I knew to varying degrees through my adventures in space and through recent news alerts.
Opening the message i was immediately intrigued. We were being called upon to help free our brethren held in slavery from a system in Amarrian space called Nafomeh. It seems I was not the first to have seen this message as many of my brethren had already responded offering their support. It seems my engineering work earlier in the day had been very timely indeed. The Necroscope was to fly again under the banner of Minmatar freedom.
I immediately switched to a more secure channel and contacted my fellow council members and corporate brothers. If slaves were being freed then the Peoples Front would be showing up in force to provide any and all assistance possible.
The open comms channels were alive with talk of this act of benevolence from Draaven. It seemed that more than just those invited would be venturing forth to Nafomeh tonight. This was reassuring as the science detectors still showed the storms throughout the entire region and many pilots were sending out S.O.S. calls as their ships systems succumbed to the ravages of the storms and shut down power to vital components. To add to this I was becoming aware of a nagging doubt, was this a trap? Ah well if it was then I could be sure to have the support of many brothers in any ambush.
Several hours later I found myself looking out of my ship with pride in my people. Over 15 of my siblings had reported in and the nearby station was surrounded by a swarm of Minmatar ships of all sizes.
For a time the channels were filled with chatter but as the time approached for Draaven to appear the signals died down somewhat. Everyone was on adrenaline. The local system had begun to fill up with several Amarrians and Draaven had yet to show. Everyones thoughts turned to the likelihood of an ambush and I silently cursed at the thought that there would no slaves to free tonight.
I must admit that I jumped a little when Draavens hail finally came through. Each noise within my*****pit was making me nervous as I scanned for the threats I expected to show any minute.
Despite the threat of ambush, one brave pilot had brought an industrial ship to carry our people home, Salek. We followed Draavens instructions and soon I found myself in empty space with just Draaven, Aran'gar and Salek for company. This was it, make or break. If we were to be ambushed then we would likely die fighting here in this unmarked location whilst our brothers were many au away.
Joy of joys, Draaven was true to his word. The ex-slaves were transferred to Saleks holds with minimal difficulties. My people were coming home. Just as my paranoia was subsiding, Draaven spoke again. He wanted us to wait whilst he began a transfer of food and small arms supplies to support the freed people. Was this the trap? Was this the moment when we would be attacked?
We could not take the chance. "Aran'gar, Salek, warp out now" I cried into the secured channel. If we were to be ambushed then I wanted our people safe under the protective custody of our battle fleet. If the Amarrians planned an ambush then they would be very disappointed indeed. They would find nothing but Necroscope to welcome their arrival. Whilst I waited tensely for Draaven to finish his transfer to my ship I rechecked my weapons and shields. My welcome for any ships warping in now would come in the form of hull piercing shells and structure crippling missiles.
Still no ambush.
I wondered whether things could really be this easy? Had the Amarrians grown so weak that they could not muster any response at all beyond the distant threats being broadvast on the open channels?
As i collected Draavens cargo into my hold, I began to believe that maybe things were going our way tonight.
Our exfiltration of Saleks ship was planned by Aran'gar and my compatriots whilst this transfer was underway. It was decided that Pator would be our destination. My corpmate Tyto took point duty and began to scout the gates ahead.
The fleet began to move, ships warping in formation no more than a few km's apart is an awesome sight indeed to behold. Gate by gate we advanced towards civilisation and moved further from the fetid cesspit of Amarri

Continued.....
Gate by gate we advanced towards civilisation and moved further from the fetid cesspit of Amarrian territories.
One irony of the evenings events was that our route home took us through Amarr prime. The capital system of all Amarrian space. I believe my freed brethren offered several appropriate gestures at the Emporer as we sailed by his capital star system.
Our final concern was the Sentry Guns and navy of our own people. Would Salek be detected and indentified as a Slaver rather than the brave pilot he had proven to be? as he approached the station to dock, our fleet gathered to provide a quick response to any misguided attack.
Fate again stood by us and finally the rejoicing could begin. Our people had been freed and the Amarrians had been unable to muster any response beyond idle threats.
The celebrations continue for those freed even now as their families warp in to Pator to be reunited.
My last communication before returning to the party was from Draaven. It seems that he may have more opportunities to help us in future and I for one cannot wait.

Viqer, you have told the events well. To all who read his words, this is exactly what transpired. To all who were there, we performed our task effortlessly and efficiently, not a shot fired.
I think the most action that took place was the wild rejoicing of the now ex slaves in the cargo hold of my Hoarder as we passed out of Amarr.

I hope our brothers and sisters weren't too disappointed in not getting any fighting that night, continue to run with the rebels and you will soon see some fighting.

An accurat and compelling summary of the glorious event that took place a few days ago, Viqer Fell
As for the "lack" of fighting, I for one am glad. Soon the freeing of our kin will not go as easy. Take joy in that we can celebrate without any of our friends abscent.
The time of open conflict will soon be upon us and the celebrations of our victories will be with a bittersweet taste in our mouths.
