Don't get me wrong. I love EVE, and CCP is awesome. EVE players really are the best, most resilient lot in any MMO world. Especially the bittervets and the "ancient ones".
We've gone through a lot of changes, lately, and those changes have cause understandable and more-than-forgivable growing pains. I think it's time we went back to a 1 hour DT. That gives CCP guys more time to tweak things that go wrong, without players around, and without having to cram all their DT work into the space of most people's lunch break.
It's cool, guys... but if anyone else thinks the way I do... you guys need that half-hour more than we do. CCP... you can have it back. We'd rather your maintainers had a more comfortable block of time to do repairs than for us players to have an extra 30 minutes of spacefaring.
Here's to 23/7, once again.
If nobody else agrees... I accept my flaming. What say you all? "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. Since they don't drive what they can't afford to lose."-á --áBienator II |

I disagree, but I can see your rationale.
Personally, I like it as it is now, as long as it works. But if there was a provable benefit for us allI'd sacrifice those few minutes for more stability.

Sounds to me like you maybe addicted to EVE and you need the hour break to give you time to do some food shopping. |

I've been around since the beginning, in one character or another, and the 1 hour DT wasn't that bad, at all.
SixSixSix.... funny, but no. I'm not addicted to EVE... I'm addicted to rum and redheads. EVE is just where I spend the rest of my time. "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. Since they don't drive what they can't afford to lose."-á --áBienator II |

You need to consider that the reason that DT is generally half-an-hour long now, isn't because the CCP Engineers are rushing and making mistakes; it's because the process has been stream-lines so well. ISD Suvetar Captain Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department |

Assuming they clean things up, fix errors, and all the little perishables reset. You know... what CCP *SAYS* happens during DT.... or am I the only one that believes CCP is telling us the truth?
Or maybe the conspiracy theorists are right, and that's when Jovians run amok through Empire to do their mining, ratting, and missioning... they're so advanced, it takes them 30 minutes to do what we do in 23 1/2 hours, and they don't want to be bothered by us "lesser" races. The new employee will strip the time down to 12/7 and you can then buy a dlc for 13,14,15,...,24/7 as you like!
Enjoy the new freedom that we only knew from EA... now all fresh and new at CCP. Say NO to CCP-EA.
