is there anyway to send ships back to your home hanger with out you being in them ? , i mean when u go to collect a new ship you old one stays where you pick the new one up from , is there a recall feature to send ships back to where you came from with out you being in them ? what about setting the auto pilot and ejecting before it goes to warp ?

Just buy a shuttle at your base and use that to go pick your new ship up in. Then once you've got your new ship, keep the shuttle, sell it or recycle it. Only costs about 10K.

Go to settings over on the left there and set your character to the default character. It'll still take a couple days for the picture to show.
As far as ships go, that's what the shuttle is for as the other guy said. That's the best way to get all your ships in one place.

dock at a station, as it comes up "Docking Accepted" or whatever, then eject from your ship. you will be in a pod, which you'll be able to use to warp to your new ship.
although this method is not recommened as you'll be left totaly defensless. so make sure you have a clone handy.

Edited by: Draka on 26/08/2003 13:53:17 To be precise - make sure you are in a system with more than one station. Have your ship approx 16 km from the station you want your ship to end up in. Set your ship to Dock, as soon as she starts moving Right-click on the ship, chose Eject and then "Confirm Eject" and hold! Do not actually click yet. As soon as you hear the voice and see the message that you have been accepted to Dock, NOW click on the command. Your ship will Dock and you will be sitting outside in a Pod.
Now fly that Pod to any other station - where you do NOT own any ships - and as you Dock there you will be given a brand new noob ship of your race. Fly that ship to the new one you want to move, transfer ships and then trash the noob ship. Fly your new ship out on her maiden voyage! Not to be a real spoiler here guys. But this sounds like an exploit where you can get yer n00b ship and then sell it... making some extra money. it's a sort of exploit ---

Not lame at all, very useful; although less so with shuttles in game. Once upon a time though it was the only way.

Just a quick thing here u don't even have to get a newb ship just take ur pod to where ur required ship is dock and take ship done. U don't need newb ship unless u want to make some isk and u can create as many pods as u like. ----- Trixy says "Keep ur friends close but ur enemies even closer" -----

You can't make isk that way. Noob ships do not recycle nor would anyone want to buy.

you don't get money when you recycle things, you get minerals. The amount of minerals depends on the things you are recycling. ---------------------------- -It's a big rock. Can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a rock this big. |

I could post a big essay on refining, but i will save you the pain of reading it.
I would say therefore, learn by doing. Take 10 items you dont need, like the 10 afterburners you got from pirate drops and dont need, go to a station with a refinery, place item in you item hanger, open recycle tab, select the item, hit recycle, note the minerals you will get and click ok. Best to recycle in batches of 10 or so.
