Edited by: Neptunus on 12/08/2003 06:17:35 Price is 5,499,999 ISK.
EVEmail me for PM me pricing on larger reserve orders.
I sell out every 30 minutes when they are made. I do take care of larger corporate "reserve" orders and actually prefer to do those so I don't have to do 48 PvP trades per day. Please EVEmail me with your bulk orders and offers. Thanks. I apologize in advance for being slow to get back but I am very busy selling these things and trying to prioritize customers.
I believe these prices will remain high because there are so few BPs in the game, and they are all copies.
So you guys need to accept the reality of the high price sticking around and go ahead to equip yourself with the best in the galaxy! Get profitable to the max now :)
People have speculated that these Miner II's will be very cheap after the patch, but it does not appear that way from the following post today:
Quote: t0rfiFrans writes on the official forums:
There has been much debate about the Miner II blueprints now in circulation. I can confirm that rogue Jovians have been carrying these blueprints, some have been shot down and had their blueprints taken. The blueprints are being introduced this way into the game but his will not be the only way they will be introduced, the Jovians simply got their hands on fully working prototypes from Crielere that then found their way into the hands of players. This has been as being staged as an event for the players and their corporations.
The events will unfold at various locations in space to balance the distribution.
There is no favouritism on the dev part to any special corporation.
The location for yesterday's slaughter was picked as it required an effort on the player's account to organize, deal and communicate amongst themselves, both on a personal level and on a corporate level, often revealing the true colours of people and corps, be it loyalty or treachery.

A common complaint is the cost of production, which is only about 30K in this case.
The cost of production in a free market is completely irrelevant.
I am sure that you go to McDonalds and get a large coke for $1.79 that costs 4 cents to make. So while you say you disagree with it in EVE, you probably actively engage in it every day.

The last thing I will do is help enrich players who are benefit soly because of Out-Of-Game mechanics and politics.
If I were actually trying to play Eve as a competitive venture, I'd effing quit after that BS with how the Miner IIs has gone. Anyone interested in intercorporate conflict is a fool at this point; the game's rigged man.
Disagree? Go complain to your dev buddies then, since I don't give a crap.

At least I hope he was...
30K vs 5.5 mil...That's a nice markup! Good times! ---------------------------------------

Well bad example there, but I'll leave it alone. My point is that ppl have confirmed on the Choas Server that these will be loot drops from 4k-10k NPC pirates. If that stays for Tranquility, who knows til the patch (this week?).
So why should I pay a 5 Mil price mark up for one item when the patch hits and this BP Original will probably be on the market for 3 Mil? These will be easy to come by, and ppl are just stupid (or I'm just thrifty) and want the item now, so they can say I have a miner II
Haha, sorry for the rant, just wish ppl would use common sense when paying the price of a cruiser for a mining laser. ------------------------------------- Interm-CEO for EVE Marshals http://www.EVEMarshals.com |

Edited by: Jack Hayden on 12/08/2003 09:27:00 I see no indication in that post that you will be able to keep you current position as the only seller.
I am confident, that given a littel time, others will begin production of Miner II and prices will drop.
The extrem price simply calls for comsuner boycot of you.
Don't buy Miner II from them!
PS: If I get my hands on one, I'll sell @ 500,000 out of sheer spite. á

What suckers were buying them in the first place? I mean 5 million? It's not that much of a mining bonus.

Sorry guys...Screw the Boycott. Why should people not buy these things Sure it was a very unfair situation to put the whole of EVE in by only letting 2 BP copies float around at the moment but i figure buy quick...get maximum profit now to cover the cost before they are "Officially" released. Sure when they come out they will probably only cost 50 to 100k and then all the Xecls,CUs will be worthless. So why shouldnt I make a little(5.5mil) investment . These will pay for themselves after 8 hrs of bistot mining.
Bought 2 by the way..... ===============================================

Neptunas look at Heavy drones, they dotn cost much to make but they dont sell very high either. even though for what they can do they should be worth alot more.

This is what it's like in real life.
Video cards are a great example. They probably cost ú10 to make. but when the fastest, best cards from nVidia and ATI are first released they cost upwards of ú350. Who the hell wants to pay ú350+ for a video card? You know within a couple of months they'll be cheaper, and they'll continue to get cheap enough eventually so everyone can get one.
There will always be those people that want the best, most expensive stuff first, and there will always (hopefully), be people with sense, and patience too

video cards aren't a good example since most of that cost is for covering R&D costs. Since Eve has no R&D that cost is 0. In the case of Miner II's most specifically.
Not that I blame them for selling at 5.5. The price for any item is what a buyer is willing to pay and I have no difficulty believing people are willing to buy at 5.5. It won't last even if no more bp's are found. Too many people aren't even considering buying them at that price.
Additional copies will drop the price faster however. Lets hope ;)

screw off, 5.5 million...anyone paying that price is a retard, plain and simple :) I might pay that price if it was rare loot...but these *******s have the BP. I say nobody buy from him and see what happens after patch. worst case..the *****s have to lower there price because of no sales Sigs suck |

guys, if you don't like the price just don't pay it.
the only thing that's going to bring the price down is increased supply not the volume of your b!tching.

It wont take long until the miner 3 is out anyway.. I wont support the big corps with my money.. Since I dont even have a chance get the BP ..:=) and 6M for the miner 2 is ALOT of money, Its not that much better than the existing miners anyway.. And think about it, they can set what ever price they want, since not money ppl got the bp.. IF there was a chance for every ppl to get it, the price would NOT be 6M .. The miner 2 is worth about 3M NOT A ISK MORE.
Please ppl, dont go buy the miner 2 for 6M. (5.5 or whatever..)

Look on the chaos server..... they are dropping pretty regularly from NPC pirates that a decent frigate could kill all day. As soon as the patch hits, the Miner II market is going to dry way up. I guess thats why they are trying to******people on the prices now, to get as much profit as they can.

Some people just have to rush out and get the latest thing...
It's a 25% advantage over a CU or XeCl on bist (5 units vs. 4 per minute), a 66% bonus over a miner 1 when mining bist (5 vs. 3). It pays for itself in 9 hours of mining.
Considering that only 96 are being introduced into the game per day, they'll continue selling at 5.5mill for a while unless the supply increases. So far it isn't confirmed that the drops of Miner 2s on Chaos actually translate over to Tranq. (It happens frequently that stuff is available on Chaos but not on Tranq - Player owned sentry guns for example.) ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |

MinerII is the most overrated item in the game now. and 5mil for a MINER?! why pay that much, when they only cost like 30k to make :)
i'll tell you why ..cause its Tech2.. but that doesnt mean its worth it, so here is what i suggest; boycott miner2's so the company that can make them, can't sell them for 5mil !

does it really need to be said that the target market for these lasers are NOT people who would otherwise not be flying something better than a Thorax?
these posts comparing the laser's price to a thorax are missing the point that the people buying these are battleship miners who would like to upgrade their ep-s, xecl's and possibly even cu vapors. and have many millions in disposable isk with which to do so.

Jeez guys, the patch is only a day or so away, wait for it and see if rats start dropping miner 2 lasers. If they don't THEN think abou tpaying that godwaful price. Otherwise, blast a few rats. But for heaven's sake be willing to wait one more day.

2 bistot/min from miner 1, and 3 from both cu and miner II. On base mineral's, it is only 1/4 better.
