A corp. member who has a security rating of 4.4 was flying a transport ship to a station that was 5 jumps away. Every solar system was in high security space. When he went through the warp gate, he came out on the other side in just his pod. From looking at the history log's, a concord federation member destroyed the ship. The transport ship was carrying 2x "Imperial Navy Heat Sinks".
Now I understand that carrying certain cargo can get you attacked by the npc police. However, I have never encountered this issue personally nor any of my other corp members while transporting imperial cargo through federation space. So my question is, what the hell caused his ship to be attacked by the federation npc police |

What was his standing with faction? -5 and below will get them to attack you. If you're in the opposite of the FW, they'll shoot you too obviously. |

What was his rating towards the aggressor? 4.4 sec status doesnt mean he is liked everywhere.

There's no such thing as the "CONCORD Federation"
CONCORD kills are usually credited to something like "CONCORD Police Commander" while faction navy kills can be any number of faction navy ships. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

same thing happened to me once
I was in 0.4 space sitting outside station in a blackbird, and someone warped in at 100, and destroyed me with one volley, I blame the spies.
Remember no one is safe in EvE, that is why you should sit in station until you can fly titans. -áAll of my suggestions are the property of Knights Armament, and any copying or ip theft will be punished to the fullest extent of international and national law. Well his situation was different from yours. One is when you immediately warp from the other side of the gate, you stay invisible for a certain period of time right, so how could a ship lock on to you? Two is according to the history books of his ships lost, this was done, from what I understood, by the npc police. Again, I need to check with him and verify the log books. However, I do understand the point you are making. |

Yes, basically Concord deals with criminals and bad sec status.
Faction Navies generally deal with political enemies. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

Was your corp member autopiloting/AFK? If so, he deserved to be destroyed and learned a valuable lesson. Sounds like he was blapped by Faction Police. You can have a 5.0 sec status and still have bad status with faction navies, especially if you are a mission runner and blow up NPC ships of that faction. |
