The people - wait no I hate the people.
EvE allows me to make a thousand people sad just by declaring war on them. As a bonus I get to kill a few too if Im lucky. |

Ha ha ha! First thing I'd do is awox the boss and take his stuff. IRL is a terrible grindfest, 25% corp tax and 8 hours of mandatory CTA's a day! |

This.
My main reason though is every time I think I know what I'm doing, I break thorough a new level of noob and find out there is so much more to learn. |

The sov wars always pique my interest and bring me back for a while. Then they burn me out. The very things I like about this game are the very things that drive me away eventually. |

EVE always managed to deliver that mystical feel that I associate with a good sci-fi atmosphere. Homeworld kind of established that to begin with, and EVE has been a continuation of it. EVE is a place where you don't always have to be playing. Sometimes you can just be. |

You can leave life in a box but you can never leave EVE, it has clones
Besides what other game do you hear people talk about pvp with shaking hands, thumping chests and in game news making its way in to the mainstream press? |

Tara Read wrote:Simply put my reason is the good friendships I've developed over the years. I've shared many fond memories and awesome fights, triumphs, losses, risks and keep coming back for more. Maybe it's because I've surrounded myself in the past and now with good peeps but hey it's always nice having someones back whom you consider a friend. How about you guys?
Training while offline gives me the sensation that I am playing video games without having to play them. I enjoy knowing that even though my life is going nowhere outside the internet, I am slowly progressing to the ability to operate a TITAN in EvE and with that goal in mind my dopamine levels remain elevated and depression nearly eliminated. My next step is to create a massive scam corp to collect taxes from thousands of players and convert that isk into plex that I can sell on my website for a discount.
Money laundering and meta-gameplay mechanics keep an intellect such as myself stimulated, inferior players will claim to be champions at gas harvesting, but men like me are the ones producing the gas. When the DUST is settled, everything will change.

I keep coming back because I reach level cap on WoW, attempt the end game and want to shoot my self.
I like eve for the butterfly effect, I mine, it helps. I mission it helps. I run a noob through some missions, it might help.
On my pvp alt, fighting is an andrinline rush. Seriously, very few games can get my blood pumping. Except dust, but that's rage quit pumping. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

I just log in every couple months to fit up whatever new toys or alts I've finally finished training. Then a week later they nerf it all into the dirt and I leave again. |

Been going on EvE almost three years now. I never really leave so much as I go into "passive maintenance" mode. At those times I will come on to update the queue, check the market, make a few trades, then log off. During main play periods I do whatever suits me. The draw is that there is so much to do. |

Because end game raiding is a terrible farm/grind fest. Normally with morons that can't not stand in fire.
EVE's end game is whatever you want it to be and starts the moment you undock. |

Good people i've met in the game from when I started to play. I like the genre of EVE and how it could be a possibility in the future (In a way). EVE generally lets you do what you want whenever you want (If it's not offline!). The graphics and sounds are gorgeous. There's no flying snakes, dragons, people... |

Boredom with every other game possible.
Honestly I find the actual gameplay of EVE to be incredibly dull and boring.
Having some disposable income to pay for an account and having enough skillpoints to be able to plex a 2nd account in a night or 2 is the only real reason I'm here after the godawful scanning changes. Not today spaghetti. |
