Edited by: Walok on 09/11/2005 06:48:53 Hey, I was wondering whether this would be possible and came up with the following build for a Coercer. It can run all of this indefinatley (literally) with the cap from the nosferatus, taking 40 energy per 3 seconds from the target.
5x Small Nosferatu I 3x Medium Pulse Laser I
1x Fleeting Warp Scrambler I
1x Small Armor Repairer I 1x Small Armor Repairer I 1x Micro Auxiliary Power Core I 1x 200mm Reinforced Steel Plates I
Any ideas/suggestions?
Luke
EDIT: Was thinking about the 5500m nos range.. Hmm, maybe not feasable afterall

Yea, without AB/MWD you will be dead before you get into nos range. And how to hold the enemy there without web? I think the best use for the coercer in pvp is pure gank.

Damage, damage and damage...
Dont get me wrong, your idea is great, and your thinking "outside the box"... BUT, you would simply die before you get within nos range.
And imo, they are only "useable" against frigs/inty's/af's... Cruisers will simply laugh at them, and kill them in an instant, since destroyers are made of thin tissue paper with crappy resistances.
The nosf setup might work and inty's like taranis or so, BUT you need to make sure you kill its cap before it tear's you apart.
Af's.. well, im pretty sure most af's would kill you before you get close enough.. therefor fit for damage... and imo destroyers works best in larger groups.
Hope it was at any use...
And damn i need my coffee break now...

Right now I'm using..
hi: 8 Beams mid: Arcjet AB Low: Small Rep II, Energized Reactive, Energized Nano, 200mm Plate
810hp, 66/37/50/45 resists, but I don't think that's enough to go against a Cruiser seeing what I can do with my Stabber or Rupture. Both would rip it to pieces in no time..

That kind of setup only works well on a thrasher.

Coercer is like an itty bitty Geddon. Doesn't work that well in a role besides gank.

I was thinking about Nos last night.
I had/have a Rax with 4 Heavy Blasters (I lost my Rax with rails and decided to go for somethign different).
I worked out that if I tank my shields it is better to have a small Nos instead of Medium. BUT! If I tank my armour it's a LOT better (by about 19,000 HP damage) to have a medium Nos and one less gun.
LOL, Extreme Excelage!
