So I've just started hacking, spent a few million fitting my ship ready and head out to find a site, which I did in a 0.6.
I hack 2 of 3 towers successfully first attempt. Quite like the mini-game.
I used a scanner to identify the loot first in each container. 1 item worth 2million on the market and a blueprint! Awesome I thought.
I've read guides saying collect 'Parts' then 'Data(unless blueprints, if so get data first)' then 'equipment'.
I got 1xData and 1xParts and 1xScrap(i think) from each of the 2 containers and the combined value of loot I collected is an amazing 3,000 ISK! WTF!?
I'm looking for some advice about collecting the loot. Do the containers release more than 1 Data and Parts each?...because I found none of the items the scanner said were there??? Anyone please any advice at all about identifying/collecting the loot because its total chaos and so far doesn't seem at all worth the time finding these sites when i can mine gas for constant and regular proffits in the 10's millions per hour! |

Still new about it myself, but I do agree that the hacking mini-game thing is pretty cool. As far as the loots that are ejected when you complete a successful hack, it took me a couple tries to figure out how to "grab" them but now I'm pretty comfortable with it. Haven't hacked any high yield targets yet though, pretty much just the training stuff... Hey now, hey now now, sing this corrosion to me... |

They spawn 12 containers, so there are several of each type.
For instance, if you cargo scan and see one decryptor, you might end up spawning 3 parts containers. Only one of them will have the decryptor, and the other two will have junk. You may have to grab several before you get your decryptor.
You should be able to grab about 6 or 7 of the spawn containers from any given site. |

Thanks!
So I did pretty bad only getting 3 from each container...
Are you looking to see which is which or just grabbing anything you can and hoping the best?
Also, can you tractor more than one at a time? I was waiting for one to load into my cargo before clicking the next... |

Yup, when tractoring all the others turn yellow until you can nab another one. Try to approach them with double clicks to get close and reduce the "grab time". The Drake is a Lie |

Yeah this stupidity I cancelled my account because of it, chasing containers is idiotic. Expires in a couple days. It's a change they made with this last expansion, very recent. |

Try to approach them with double clicks to get close and reduce the "grab time". You can also hover your mouse over the containers to see what type they are. Don't try to do this to all containers at the start. Just pick the first container of the proper group you're interested in and choose it immediately. Then use the time the other containers are yellow/ungettable to scout the next target container and move towards it. Continue scouting the containers, if you have extra time. Take it calmly, but the goal should be, that the moment they turn green again you're in a position to click on the next target container immediately, so the containers stay green as short time as possible and you don't waste that time to scout the container. Also give blinking containers higher priority in scouting and grabbing. The pacing of it all will get natural and fluid after you've done it for a few sites.
Just remember: GREEN=click a container YELLOW=scout containers/move into position for clicking |

Quoted for damned good advice... It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself. |

Thanks very much for the help here...it has helped a LOT!
Today after an hour of finding no sites at all, I suddenly did quite well and can grab all the cans I want leaving only the scrap. I came away from 3 sites with about 20m in loot and...
... SANSHA CONTROL TOWER BLUEPRINT! Its Large and Limted to 1, but worth a fair bit of ISK I'm told, though no one seems able to tell me how much as there are none available in the galaxy, well there is now! Anyone any idea how much is worth please?

Lowest sell contract is at 150M. If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain. |

Edit: NVM - didn't realize these are actually new types, figured they were the same as the existing (e.g., "True Sansha" instead of "Sansha").
Still a good find. |

if you have no starting context, find out what other (non elite pirate) large tower bpcs sell for, add a bit on cos your the only one selling one, and see what you can get for it.
if it sells really quickly then if you find another one raise the price.
anyway il stop giving trade advice now as im the worst at it :p Down with NeX! |

Thanks for the info, didn't know these are new.
Only data I can find is that 'True Sansha' Large sell for 2billion, as this 'Sansha' Large gives half the bonus, I guessed about half that cost...?
I've no idea what I'm doing! lol |

I've no idea what I'm doing! lol Keep in mind that it's the actual towers that sell for 2 billion. All you have is a blueprint. Now, that's a pretty valuable item so it is probably still worth good money, but probably not a full billion. You could try setting up an auction contract and see what people are willing to pay for it. This may be the best way to go since the item is new and rare. |

Have to say I am very disappoited with the whole exploration change in Odessey. Seems to me, that it is now much harder to find some signature, that is not a WH. Cause even ppl, who did not do much exploration before, now tempted by red signes to start exploration every time they come out of the gate. So few hours after server restart there is almost impossible to find data or relict signatures. Only WH are there... And if I manage after an hour and a half to find a data anomaly - I can not sell loot for the declared price. Got some strange blue item worth 4 milion according to description, but I will get less then a procent ogf it if I sell anywhere near and about 1 mio if I fly several jupms away to the trade hub. Really not worth time spent... |
