takes 3 people, 1 guy in an AF with hardeners and reppers + cap rechargers, 1 guy in a logistics ship giving the AF unlimited CAP. The last guy in whatever ship attacking the enemys.
May take a long time but its a way for a small group of noobs to take on level 4 missions as the AF takes almost no damage from big weapons and any damage it does take can be repped really fast leaveing its tank in forever!

Arnt logistics ships T2 thus take ~1 month to train, hardly for a noob.

Logistics requires cruiser V which takes a month on its own, AF isn't straightforward either

Hmm...this thread is very pointless.
Just like my above sentence.
And the one above this too.
Yup, this one as well.

First off that was my alt that accidently posted...
Yes I did mean a ship fitted for logistics, but you can be in an AF in about 1-1.5 months and i said noobs that are 1-2months old. Me and a few friends used this to tank 4 1.5mill raven rats (think they were conquistadors but those might have been the scorps) a bunch of moas and frigs on The Kidnap 10 part storyline(can't remember the real name) the AF took almost no damage from the torps and was able to sustain cap running forever with 2 medium energy transfer arrays. _______________________________________________ Member - [CHRST] Christian Fellowship Foundation

Assault frigates tanking better than the best ships in the game really does show you something's wrong, doesn't it?

I'm not sure I quite understand the point of the 'logistics' providing cap transfer.
With 1 or 2 cap mods, the af should already be able to run rep+ab forever.
You can cut this 3 ship 'Ultimate Tank' down to just the af.

Yeah, I would rather see the logistics kitted ship with shield transfers / remote armor repairs... Then you can get your AF to get enough cap for its own tank and get hardened at maximum, while being extra healed by the logistics, much better than cap boosted by the logistic, don't you think? ^^

Proper ultimate tank for say a Blood/Sansha complex:
1) Gankageddon to kill enemies. 2) Wolf loaded with 2 thermal hardeners, 1 EM hardener, 1 kinetic hardener (for the annoying kinetic missiles), 400mm rolled tungsten plate. 3) Apoc with 8 large named remote armor reps (staggered), 4 cap IIs, 7 cap power relays.
Should be able to take most 6/10-10/10s. - Proud member of the [23].

Balance is about tradeoffs. The tradeoff for having an indefinite tank that can hold multiple Caldari BS without breaking sweat is it taking ten minutes to kill a 750k Guristas raven with a fairly gank-heavy Retribution. If it wasn't for loot prospects it wouldn't be worth the effort.

That would be 1 thermal hardener. - Proud member of the [23].

Smiles when a 1.5 month old player climbs into an AF then screams blue murder when it goes pop..
as with most t2 ships the ability to be able to train the af skill and the ability to fly an af are imho months apart..

This is also true. Merely qualifying for the AF hull means squat.

Since your using multiple ships anyway... 2 battleships can support each other for a hell of a long time, a friend and myself used to run 2 ravens, and fit remote shield reps in the 2 other highs, more or less using 2 caps to tank one ship (whoever got called primary by npc fleet commander...), works pretty well for missions More practical IMO
