when in the game press esc (escape) to access the graphic menu, once your in the graphic menu. Change the screen resoulution to the native screen size for your monitor. Do not go over a screen size the monitor/video card can handle it will probably go black and you will have to reset the whole computer. If you have an LCD monitor
15 1024x768
17 inch 1024x768
19 1280x1024
21+ pretty huge :)
for crt monitors same guidline if you dont know howto tinker with it, hope this helps.

I think I may have the Nvidia thing. The google searches turned up reviews mentioning this bug and how he didn't have much trouble getting it fixed other than sorting through unreadable menus. I, however coyundn't find anything referring to the problem cept his review: http://www.avault.com/reviews/review_temp.asp?game=eveol&page=3
I still have found no solution. Thanks for the assistance from those who posted. The only thing I figured out was to copy it to Notepad. It's a functional enough fix.
Thanks, ken

Corp member has the same problem, can't read chat and it's been that way since the font patch. However we use TS extensively so that helps. We've never been able to figure out how to fix it either.

Just a adding note, I have a 17" TFT and my native resolution is 1280x1024, so 17" isnt allways 1024. If you use native resolution on TFT the text should be crystal clear.

I had the same problem when i first started to play eve, I have a Nvidia FX5900 Ultra and any text was impossible to read. I found that downloading Nvidia drivers that were really old (i think the version was 42.something)fixed the problem and everything was fine. Ive since updated to nvidias latest drivers and the problem has not returned.
Im thinking its probably not the drivers itself that are to fault but maybe some tool or something installed off the orginal driver CD. I suggest FULLY uninstalling everything to do with Nvidia including the drivers and either running the latest download OR run a old (42.somthing) driver from the website.
Hope this helps, it took me about a month to fix my problem but it was definately a driver/software issue
Just as a matter of interest, can you see the information on the billboards near the gates? i was told a long time ago that this indicates driver issues too.

To get better missions get a security or internal security agent. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

For most widescreen monitors:
20" Widescreen 1680x1050
23 or 24" Widescreen 1920x1200
And yes, EVE supports these resolutions. 1920x1200 is truly a beautiful sight to see.
