Ok guys, here is what happened. Me being the CEO, did something very stupid, and gave someone that I didnt know access to our corp hangar. Needless to say, the guy ripped off everyting in our corp. He did not get away with much, but got away with some. I got robbed fair and square. Fair enough. The thing about it is, he mentioned that he was going to sale his account. I petitioned it, and within 2 or 3 minutes, he pritave convoed me and said, "wanna see something funny?" He then popped up the denial for thepetition, and said, "if you want your stuff back, shoot me some numbers." He has access to the partitions, and is able to catch our petitions before they get to CCP. The petition came back from GM FATE. I dont know what else to do other than have our other members send petitions out. The same thing has happened to them and I would like to know what else can be done so CCP sees my petition rather than this joker that is acting as a corrupt GM. Can someone plese convo me or email me and let me know how to get ahold of a GM. Thank you all.

I also agree with digicommie,
But then, the posting char has 0 posts in the forums, don't have time to login and check it out.
I see the chance of this actually happening, small, VERY small. Methinks this could only happen if CCP's systems have been compromised, which is... well... the scariest thing I've ever thought about.

It could happen a lot more easily if the thief slipped a virus or trojan onto his computer... _____________________________________

Someone would have to be pretty dumb to show off this sort of access to the person their ripping off. CCP head office get any hint that something like this is real and they'll come down like a load of bricks. I question its plausbility, although people can be pretty dumb.

Edited by: SengH on 18/09/2005 05:35:07 Is all I have to say about this. The only reasonable explanation outside of his computer being compromised is that the theif is one of the GM staff... I dont think even the devs have easy access to individual petition info as petitions are handled by another company(Sibil sp?).

The thief is not a GM, that's ridiculous. Why would a GM get himself fired and banned from EVE to steal a few nick nacks from a small corp? _____________________________________

Regardless....the very fact that this guy tried to extort him smells like someone cheap enough to send virus's out for such stupid reasons.
My advice. Make a hard copy everything and do a virus check on your hard-drive email and everything. This also smells like a key logger as well. It could be someone you know, check the externals of your computer and your hardware for anything thats not suppose to be there. And are you on a wireless lan?

Sublime88, I have contacted you ingame regarding this.
For the rest of you: There were no client or server hacks involved and the GMs did not conspire to rob any corporations or individuals. This was a simple misunderstanding.
