I applied but all the fields went blank after I hit submit. There was no confirmation page. Can I confirm my application was received? See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did. |

I would need to ask the volunteer manager if your application has been received. He is forwarding them to us in batches via e-mail.
Also, i would not discuss your application in public as that might lead to an instant rejection if you push the discussion too hard.
All concerns regarding your application should go in an email to [email protected] ISD Eshtir Vice Admiral Community Communication Liaisons Interstellar Services Department @ISD_Eshtir | @ISD_CCL |

Completely off-topic, but I haven't got a better place to put this. It's discussing moderation, but not specific instances of it, so I think I'm on the correct side of the bright line (but I've been wrong before...)
I wish there were some feedback from the reports. I never get anything, so it's hard to tell if my time is wasted. Something as simple as an automated "read & acted upon" in the notification flag would do. I even specifically requested feedback in the last report I did; none was forthcoming. So, ISD & CCL folks, what say you?

The forums have no system to give feedback on reports, and we have strict instructions on not replying to private communication (see my bio). That leaves us no way to give said feedback short of posting in the thread -- which would be awfully counter-productive and derailing.
I know it sucks and is frustrating to know whether the report not being addressed is simply ISD not being around, your report being ignored, or ISD deciding forum rules are not being broken. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it for now.
Maybe post in F&I asking for a report feedback system? ISD LackOfFaith Lieutenant Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department @ISD_LackOfFaith on Twitter |

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it for now. Hey, at least you didn't suggest I make a petition about it. That process is absurdly difficult compared to clicking the "Report" flag. Honestly, the petition process is enough difficult that I wonder if someone at CCP didn't intentionally design it that way to discourage people from creating petitions.

At least the system is robust enough to address all possible problems you have, even if it's clunky.

A quick question, if I may, and this appears to be the thread to do it in:
Whilst there is an interest specified in different language groups (for fairly self-evident reasons), is there any particular emphasis placed on timezones of volunteers, in order to even out the timezone attention that the forums receive?
Asking, as I've sort of noticed that there are times where moderation tends to be quieter, which seems to correspond with lower population times, such as the main Australian TZ, and other times where there are many more on (US / EU peak times).
Thanks in advance, |

Thanks in advance, We try to keep the team as balanced as possible, which not only means a good spread in EvE play styles and backgrounds, but also in Time zones. As there are more players from the EU and USA time zones, the team also tends to have more members in those time zones. The reverse is also true, as it also makes it more difficult to get new members from for example the Australian time zone, as the amount of players that might apply is smaller. Mmmmm, sounds like the perfect opportunity to specifically invite players from -4hr > international dateline < +4hr to apply! Several folks have applied for CCL and should have received either a request for an interview or notification of acceptance but have not replied.
If you are no longer interested in volunteering then feel free to ignore the email. However, given some of the delays that have occurred, you may want to check your application email location.
Just hated to see someone miss out if they were still interested.

What if someone applied and/or received a request for an interview about a month ago but haven't heard anything yet? Will you guys contact that applicant with a decision either way?

The request for an interview email should have contained instructions on how to proceed with the interview and had an email address listed if there was some question concerning the process.
All applicants should receive an email indicating the outcome of their application.
However, for a variety of reasons, or excuses, there have been some delays in a timely response to all applicants. Hopefully, all CCL applicants should have received a reply in the next two weeks. Thereafter, it is planned for a more timely response to such applications. I, personally, and CCL apologize for the delays some of you have experienced.

Would you mind changing your recruiting requirements to include being helpful every once in a while?
If a thread is being opened on the same topic over and over, perhaps take an extra 30 secs to inform where the topic should be discussed? This is done all the time for release threads, so there appears to be some skill and desire somewhere.

Boom McCondor wrote:About how long does it typically take to hear back regarding an application, positive or negative? Thanks! To be blunt and frank, anything from a week to several months. This is mainly depending a bit on things we have no control over, like the workload of CCP's (very hard working) Community Team who forwards eligible applicants to the team leads of CCL so we can invite them for an interview.
On that note, I would like to ask everybody who has applied in the last half year or so to check the E-mail addresses they applied with, including the spam box. In the last few months we have send out invitations for an interview to various people, but only a few of those replied. In the past we have encountered things like E-mail addresses specifically created for the application to ISD (their existence promptly forgotten..), spam-boxes with our invitations emptied (without a prior look for mails mistakenly labelled as spam), etcetera.
As in the past questions have been raised about the security of the personal information submitted in the aplication proces, I would like to stress that all personal information send in is handled with the strictest confidentiality. Only a handful of people within CCP and the leads of CCL will ever see the RL applications. We are, quite rightly, under a strict NDA and I am proud to say none of the members of CCL has ever broken that confidence. Nor will they in the future, as I will personally strangle them if they do....
If you want to be a member of CCL and have not applied yet, please do so now! It can be a long process, but once your in we welcome you with open arms into our wonderful team. \o/
