We will be deploying EVE Online: Incarna 1.1.2 during an extended downtime on Tuesday, October 18. Tranquility will be offline from 11:00 to 12:00 UTC. Further details can be seen in this news item.
This patch has several Mac-specific notes which are as follows:
- A number of stability adjustments have been made for the new Cider engine. These include file descriptor race conditions, segment caching in memory and raising the ceiling limit for open file descriptors.
- An EVE Voice connection problem, where users were unable to reconnect to EVE Voice after losing or closing their connection, has been resolved.

Since incarna came out, I've been running eve at the lowest settings most of the time. On occasion I would up the graphics settings to look at a shiny ship or whatever.
I tried that today to celebrate the return of ship spinning, and I get a crash to desktop. I try to log back in and I get this error;
"Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00000000 at address 0x8f0d975f.
Do you wish to debug it ?"
followed by a crash to desktop. My other client (cloned off of this one) works fine at the moment. |
