I do not have actual numbers of seats working on EVE, but it feels like very few considering the lack of content AND the bugs that persist month over month and patch after patch after patch. Bug prioritization be damned, this stuff persists for way too long to not be addressed.
Warp tunnels? Bookmark accessibility via the solar map? Foobar'd standings upon jumping into a system (via gate or bridge portal)? Titan portal jump bug? Etc.

I'm not sure that I like the 'floating text' that's replaced it. It doesn't feel quite right...
Fully agreed. I really really really really liked the blue chevrons. The ony problem was they weren't shown in the CQ too. :(
Quote:- When you dock, the client will remember whether you were using CQ or the hangar view and return you to your environment of choice.
I'm a nut for immersion. I've wanted Incarna since I began playing. However, I feel that it shouldn't remember what you were in last. It should, IMO, always put you in the hangar view regardless of where you dock.
Call me silly, but I like the immersion of having to make the decision to get out of my ship, regardless of where I am, or what mode I was in before.
Also, always defaulting to Hangar View would be a great help in certain situations where you may have been in CQ when you undocked, but prefer the speed of Hangar View.
Thanks, CCP. I'm glad you gave us our hangars back. [ Loot Log: Small Functionality Update Request ] [ A New (Non-Combat) Exploration Idea ] |

A big thank you from me as well! Go ship spinning!
As a side note: This is the best (old styple) ship-spinning video I found:

Just some food for thought.
Thank you CCP, for giving us back the opportunity to be able to see our ships in the comfort of a station environment, rather than needing to be out in the cold, dark depths of space for hours on end.
I do vaguely remember that, when Walking in Stations was first introduced, CCP CEO Hilmar had mentioned something about the Birthing Button, which was what I expected from Incarna. Why was it dropped? Adding it as a button under Station Services would be better than the "Visit the Capten's Quarters" tab currently employed. |

So, maybe someone mentioned it in the pile of pages before me, but if I'm in the CQ, I can see my ship. If I'm ship spinning, shouldn't I be able to look just to the right of the large opening in the wall and see the opening of my CQ there (without the pod docked up)?
But otherwise, ship spinning is nice and smooth. Thanks CCP! |

Finally!
Drag-and-drop to activate a ship and double click in empty space to open cargohold AND it's not resource consuming as CQ is.
The doors are gone. |

Yes, finally, it's so good to see they actually NOTICED the $$$ drop they had to CAVE IN. This makes me warm and fuzzy inside. Almost makes me want to play again to boot ... but needs more damage control II. still. Let's see if the hull holds. |

My main complaint on the captains quarters is the longer processing time docking/undocking. I'm indifferent to the lack of spinning ships.
I would prefer the faster loading hangar view most of the time, Especially when docking only for pickup/dropoff - the captains quarters loading lag really affects the 2nd instance who is only mining!.
I would like to explore the new and improved captains quarters, but being single-player I will be bored of that within a few logins and want to be rid of the lag (FPS is ok, it just takes a bit to load and affects FPS 2nd instance during the load), so I will just default captains quarters to off.
When multilayer walk-in-stations is implemented, I probably would want CQ to show up on initial login, and then resume its off default when docking/undocking because I won't be into the idle socialization and won't want the longer load time, but I would want to be able to turn it on (maybe an exit capsule button or shortcut key) without too much hassle. |

I really don't know if the spinning ship will really load faster than the captains quarters though. I came onto the game after incarna was released. I would love faster loading stations when docking only for pickups, dropoffs, or agent interatction though. |

Aside from the overview issues, right now I can't see my ship in hanger, and every time I try an undock it makes me pick a ship (I've already picked a ship). I select my ship. I click ok or whatever. It goes through the progress bar of undocking, then dumps me right back in my hanger (without being able to see my ship) saying "undock aborted).
Not sure what that's about. |

i almost got a shock when my Apoc loaded up like that in hangar view today, is it me or is it more smooth and better looking than the old ship spinning?
I think that from a RP perspective CQ is the right direction...
I vote for CQ button should be as far away from undock button as possible, you would-¦t put Airdock next to Aircon right? or Eject next to ECM.... |

I don't know how well Eve can bring in the common masses without driving out the current subscriber audience. Star Wars Galexies attempt to do so was a complete and utter failure. The masses need dumbed down games catering for their short attention spans, 'NOW' mentality, and somewhat lower IQ. Glorified 3D chatrooms may not destroy Eve if they avoid anymore spining ship mistakes, but it probably will be a complete waste of time on the part of the devs. If the walk-in-stations is to be something more than something that gets explored a couple times and the shut off to remove the lag, they will need to be something more than glorified chat rooms, which even would suck as that because the limited number of free clothing & appearance items and the limited selection and extreme overpriceness of the NEX - asking for total failure and a wasting of developer time. The CQ graphics are quite good though. |

Tell Hilmar that I appreciate the humble pie. Sorry you guys had to axe a bunch of staff in Georgia. I'm very critical of organizations that think their smarter than their customers. But I'm very happy CCP made the leap of faith it took to realize what a mess they made and make it right. Now if we can get Netflix to return online and mail delivery for the same price as before, the universe will be balance again.
I'm one of the 5000 or so that quit over the lame way CQ was implemented and the in-game purchase crap. I'm back now that ship spinning is back, but there ain't a chance in hell that I'm spending my hard earned scratch on a $65 monacle.
While it's true that there is no game like Eve, I think it's pretty clear that your customers will walk away rather than be disrespected.
Lesson learned. |

C'mon. What do you want. Keep harping on them? They eff'd up. Ate crow and fixed it. If your dog poops on the rug, do you keep rubbing it's nose in it?
Took some guts for Hilmar to fess up that he screwed the pooch. And I praise him for that. Will he be an arrogant arse again? Probably |

Looks like CCP's spindoctors did their homework! Ship is spinning again. I actually like CQ; but there are occasions -- like being able to fly a new, shiny ship, but being too chickensh*t to take it out yet -- that I like to see myself spin about in my new jacket.
