Its hard to say whats the hardest sinse i have not been into them all. But back when JQA was alive they had the best "region" defence iv seen. To be quite true, it was almost impossible to pirate there succsessfuly.

I can't speak for many regions as I've only operated in a few so far, however as of about 6 months ago Querious during US time zones was the toughest I've operated in so far.
FIX could 3:1 outblob almost any pirate force pretty quickly. Typically we entered into Querious with small numbered forces however, so we were constantly outnumbered by a lot. I don't think we ever had the numbers to roll around down there in force.
So my vote is FIX/querious for the fastest response times during US time zones. _______________________________________________

Fountain was the most easily defendable region and if they blob in YZ, you gotta go through it. All changed now. ----------------------------------------- wts all new "burberry" warp core stab II's |

It helped than in JQA we had 2 nice bottleneck systems where we could gather our forces and at the same time as it was only a relativly small area we laid claim too we could respond generally quite quickly.
The groups I remeber most were (in no particular order) Clankillers, DNA, Mafia (seem to recall they had some sort of informal aliance in Y9 Usta I think, Teddybears and Tundragon et al
Now syndicate is relativly open until you get as far as to the edge of imp space or up into SU

I'd have to say pure blind is the easiest to pirate.
I can constantly sit on the gate solo and keep just about everything out.
Although pirates from other regions are frowned upon, so stay the **** out ------

I agree that JQA was probly one of the best anti-pirate alliances, those times were fun. We could never force out truly hardened pirate corps such as MAFIA, DNA and Teddybears from Y9G and the routes up to JQA space tho, but we sure had fun trying
Always had a special liking of MAFIA we had some great times fighting those guys.
Respect to all those guys back then, guess it's pretty much a free for all now. |

Yup, it never took them long to find any pirates in their region and send a horde of angry carbears after them.

I'm not a pirate and I've not been to every 0.0 entrance point.
Pure Blind is a doddle to go through Solo as is Vale of the Silent. Catch remains one the hardest points for me, although not altogether impossible, but does have the most varied camps at the entrance point.

Stain is difficult to defend. There are lots of npc stations there you can work from.

As a pirate, I don't like the ex-CA and xetic regions since the NPCs there do all 4 types of dmg and thus everyone is pretty well tanked. In stain you can warp in fire off 3 volleys of bane torps and they go down. ----------------------------------------- wts all new "burberry" warp core stab II's |

they may have the same policy on intruders but surely don't have the same source of income ;) (if pirates have one...)

I wouldnt say that only income for pirates is loot from destroyed ships.
Im sure most of pirates agent run as well as NPC, to at least try to keep sec status not too low. -=-

Small taskforce kill a couple of alliance members. Alliance takes 20min to an hour to blob up and then jump through PF-346. By then the small taskforce has already picked up their stuff and ready to leave system at any moment. By fear of dying the big blobs dont move very quick and dont leave anyone behind or warp ahead.
Thus the big blobs are evaded and the smaller taskforce make it out safely.
However, I salute DNA for not blobbing up like IMP does.
