Edited by: Dark Shikari on 09/07/2005 18:50:45 I've gotten a hoard of evemails recently from people looking to set up POSs who know plenty about building them, but absolutely nothing about what kind of moon to look for.
Here is a very, very simple guide to what you're looking for. Its not perfect, but its close:
Worthless (unless at the same moon as something else useful, or as part of a multi-part reaction): Atmospheric Gases, Evaporite Deposits, Silicates, Hydrocarbons, Cobalt, Cadmium, Scandium, Titanium, Tungsten. Worth something: Chromium, Platinum, Hafnium, Vanadium Worth a bit more: Caesium, Thulium Worth more than that: Neodymium, Mercury Worth even more: Technetium Worth the most: Promethium, Dysprosium.
NOW STOP EVEMAILING ME! --

A SINGLE MOON WITH PROM AND TECH!?
Depends on where that is, but you could probably auction that for hundreds of millions or even a billion unless its in alliance space.
In terms of earnings, thats easily about 1.7 million an hour just from mining the thing. If you do reactions and such you can earn quite a bit more. --

How do you calculate the profits? What do you assume you are doing with the raw material? For example technetium. I don't see much request for it on the market. Must I search for a contract and how much could I expect for it per unit?

Technetium is relatively good. I'm guessing you can get 4.5k-5.5k minimum--there should be buy orders around for it, but you can get more with a contract. Putting it up for sale in a popular region also gets buyers. --

Serilla, be warned that rarity does not match market price. as a example i have a mercury and a Hafnium moon. The first one give a good profit, the second one barelly. Both have rarity 64, but "who knows why" there is a lot ov hafnium moons but a lot few mercury.

Ive got a moon with Technitium, and one near by with platinum, was wondering if it was worth the effort to react the two into Platinum Technite?
