Its not really feasible with most but the Moro's should be a scary miner.
With 35 tech II mining drones your getting nearly a Coveter's yield every drone cycle, you can fit 3 Modulated deap core miner II's with ease to boost that considerably. All the while ensuring that you can tank any spawn.
I'm not sure about the math, but with thier lowslots and high base cpu you might be able to fit a Strip miner on one. BUt I don't mine so I dont know the reqs for such things off the top of my head.

It would be a damn shame, a damn shame. I hope you can't put mining drones in them.

if you want to spend 3billion+ isk and 4+ mounths training to do that sure why not. but it would be more efficient to just mine with a covetor

It would be like entering a brand new BMW into a demolition derby. Just stupid and a waste of resources. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Please explain me how you intend to mount a miner on a captial sized turret point designed to mount...capital sized turrets.
You shouldn't be able to put anything but capital sized modules in the turret slots. ________________________________________________________

You could run enough active tanking to afk-mine 0.0 alone.

Apart from a corvetor cant jump into a 0.0 arknor field, fill up and then jump back unseen.

Well, apart from dreads being banned from 0.5+, it'd take more alts than any two alliances can manage to cough up -- If TC causes you discomfort that you feel is unwarranted or may be outside TC's current contract - contact me, please.

A lot of it depends on the jump drive use cost. If it's cheap, don't see why you couldn't mine in 0.0 in a dreadnaught. Could pretty much afk mine merc and use the jumpdrive for refining trips. Plus admittedly there's the entertainment value of ****ing off the purists.

there is a problem with that... you cant jump in a dread undetected cause when you deploy the beacon you have to have in that system before it can jump it.. it will in effect warn everyone in system cause it will become viseable and warpeable to.. so no good idea of using it on safespots with hostiles in local.

umm, what kind of ship can take a dread packaged?? Still, i sort of imagine a dread lazily crawl around in 0.5, with the option to jump out to 0.4 if he want, lazily gobble up every veldspar belt, lool

Simple answer.
Dreads should NOT get Concord protection. (Gate gun protection? Sure. CONCORD? no). After all, they shouldn't BE in 0.5+ :P

You can fit frigate sized guns on a cruiser, you can fit frigate sized guns and cruiser sized guns on a battleship, why shoulnd't you be able to put something other than a capital sized turrent on a dreadnaught?

The devblog says about dreads not being able to just jumpdrives int 0.5 and up, but nothing about them being illegal.

Umm you know the beacon for the jump drive is visable to all in system right, so they would know you had a dread coming :)
