Would recommend a Ferox, it¦s 5 launcher, 5 turrets layout makes it really flexible. __________ Capacitor research |

General consensus is the Ferox and Prophecy are the best with the Cyclone and then Brutix trailing somewhat.

Prophecy is great. It's bonuses make tanking really great, and beams on this thing pwn. ----------------------------------------------- CANADIAN |

ferox is a no brainer, less than 1/2 mil spoints in missiles will fit it out well and it can tank with the best.

Ferox has my vote - Flexible, like Dust Puppy said, and had good EW potential.
When the patch hits next month, expect to see a lot of missile using Ferox pilots switch the launchers for turrets.

You can't go wrong with either the Proph or the Ferox. But I think the Proph wins out because of insta-damage and no ammo.
After the nerfing of three sig's, Latex still won't give ISD what they really want...

I agree with my former CEO LordChaos that the Prophecy is a great ship.
6 named/t2 heavy pulses and 6 t2 dmg mods hurt, ALOT!
Well, maybe not if ur in an uber-tanked Prophecy

I use battlecruisers occasionally for fleet warfare. After looking at my options - brutix / ferox, i chose ferox. it is versatile, you can fit ew / missiles / guns. i tend to fit quick lock sniper for anti frigates.
however the damage is poor and i cant help feeling an eagle would be better.
so im training for an eagle ;)

I would use the Prophecy. The DoT on beams is good and it's long range. It also has elite tanking abilites. I would chose this over the ferox for the fact, missiles are to easy to counter. Then if you were to go rails, then beams would be better (IMO).

I would agree that the bonuses on the Proph and the Ferox at first sight seem more impressive than those for the Cyclone and Brutix but ultimately i think they are all equally matched if you have the skills.
On reading posts for HAS most people are in agreement that the Deimos deals the most damage due to two damage bonuses and is the best for pvp.
I'd just like to give a quick calculation of the damage that a Deimos can have using Medium Modal Ion Particle Accelerator I which has a damage modifier of 3.375.
3.375 x 1.25 x 1.25 = 5.2734375 per gun
For 5 guns this is: 5 x 5.2734375 = 26.3671875
Very impressive damage without even adding the damage from Antimatter or damage mods.
If you use these guns on a Brutix you will get:
7 x 5.2734375 = 36.9140625.
Now damage on it's own is not a determining factor in the outcome of any encounter, but it does help and I for one give a vote for the Brutix.

Oops, made a slight error as I applied both damage bonuses to the Brutix when it only gets one.
3.375 x 1.25 (lvl 5 BC) = 4.21875
7 x 4.21875 = 29.53125
It's more damage but only just, but consider the greater shield and armour HP then you can look on the Brutix in a new light.
Brutix vs Deimos????
I know where i'd put my money
Hehehehe

I fly Ferox, Cyclone and Prophecy.
I'm a Matari and I'm specialized in projectiles gunz. If you want to kill fast and long range the Cyclone will be an interesting choice.
If you want to be close, the Prophecy is your best bet.
I don't like the Ferox, too much no brainer for me...
It is not a question about which is better, it is more about the one that fits your style.

Ferox for right now, Prophecy for after missile changes.
The Ferox is an awesome tanker right now with its shield bonus and 5 launchers. The missile changes that make launchers take more grid are going to gimp Ferox 5 launcher setups, however, and Ferox 5 rail setups just don't cut it because of grid issues.
The Prophecy on the other hand has the armor bonus and 6 beams, which is an awesome combination. Definently the most effective non-bs T1 tanker.

Yeah but where is the point of giving it a armor repairer bonus then?
Anyway i personnaly prefere Thorax to Brutix for gank setup, got equivalent firepower and better agility...
