Good morning, day, afternoon and evening citizens of EVE.
Yesternight The Legitimate Businessmans Club, under the leadership of CEO Vegeta, declared war on the 3rd Front Alliance. We would like to make clear that by no means do we oppose ourselves to the goals and political motives of the 3rd Front, nor do we by any means have any personal dislike for them or their associates.
The reason is simple. You were singled out because we wish to prey on you. We will hunt your industrial characters down and kill them because we hope they will carry valuable stuff. We will stalk your agent runners and kill them because we believe they are fitting precious modules. We will swoop down on your lonely fighters and kill them because we know there is monetary gain to be had. It will be gruesome and without mercy.
As of today till the day we feel your cans are no longer worth the effort, no 3rd Front pilot will be safe anywhere. We are small, we are mobile and our mettle has been thoroughly tested many times already.
Nothing personal, just loot. That is all

All things considered, I'm tempted to believe you think us pirates because we didn't invite you out to confirm we live where we do.
Regardless, 2ippy, I don't know you, nor do I particularly take an interest in changing that. Kindly stay off the assumption-wagon, though - if you believe us to be pirates, feel free to contact me in game and explain why.
A pleasant day to you.

Meehan, a refreshingly straightforward declaration of intent.
Naturally, we wondered if anyone had hired you, considering a few of us actually remember the name from back in the old, old days, and theories run rampant, as those things tend to do.
Regardless, this is purely academic. With your statement it would at least appear you are playing out what your intentions are...whether they are true, or an elaborate ruse, time might tell.
Indeed, as one would suspect, the target of an empire war are typically those that can not, or will not, fend for themselves. As such there is nothing surprising to that, although I will spare you of any bile about how you'd lack intestinal fortitude to hit the 0.0 based alliance pilots - TLBC pilots have been roughly forever, and such accusations would be groundless.
For the moment, let's simply get to the shooting each other bit. We may meet in Empire space, or we may not. Time will tell, and on that note, I'd like to conclude the official 3rd Front Alliance reply by, in a threatening manner, to wave a Chorizo sausage above my head and yell "Get ORRRFF my land!"...Unbeknownst to most, this is a ritualistic greeting in the savage lower Syndicate, where the heart of our alliance is.
A good day to you and yours, I hope for interesting fights, slim as the chances may be.

We are happy you see this as positively as you do, ClippedWings. We are not delusional enough to expect people being happy about other people wanting to kill them. I sincerely hope we will manage to keep all of this civil, after all we are all gamers wanting to have fun with what we do.
As for interesting fights; well, truth be told I've always been of the opinion that if you get into a fair fight you've done something wrong. We are pirates, not knights in shining armor. All out war is not really our nichÚ.
Who knows, maybe this all will pass without a single shot being fired in Empire and/or 0.0. Where we go from here we have not decided yet - you just looked fat and juicy in the alliances' overview section. I didn't even know you lived in Syndicate (our old home)

This is exactly the reason I won't throw out some random "you are evil, you are disrupting our operations and we shall blob j00" reply. Entertainment is, from an OOC point ov view, a completely valid reason to do what you do. I can honestly say I hope our pilots, too, will remain civil and under no circumstances smacktalk. If they do, please forward the chatlogs to me, so it can be dealt with.

I expected this as well. Considering the size of your corp, I'd be more than naive to expect you'd simply line up for a slugfest, and truth be told, I'd be disappointed if you did. You have pilots with quite a good bit of experience, after all ;) To take the analogy you provided a bit further, I also believe that people openly trying to create a measure of contrast in the EVE universe adds to the experience. We'll leave you to your black hats, as long as we get to wear the white ones. ;)

Who knows, maybe it will. Most likely, it won't. The irony, of course, lies in that we are arguably the least wealthy alliance, considering our placement, althoguh that is not to be considered a complaint, Ó la "why do you pick on the poor ones!", and I honestly hope it is not construed as such. Just pointing out facts ;)
As for TLBC formerly living in, and operating out of, Syndicate, well, every dog has its day, and who knows - maybe we'll cross swords in EVE's most desolate region someday. I'll anticipate the challenge, and I'll make sure I have insurance...just in case.
See you in space, evil-doer. :)

Syndicate still attracts the high profile pirates it seems. Getting robbed by Nightfang (or whatever name he¦s hiding behind now to avoid Concord¦s wrath) is an adventure every hard working miner, trader or agent runner should have the pleasure to experience at least once in his life.
Welcome back in business TLBC.

Well heres to hoping we can at least have a few decent fights (along with an unreal ammount of whining from people who managed to get afk-ganked in yulai I am sure.),
I doubt I'll step out of the Syndicate all that much but hopefully I'll get the opportunity to go toe to toe with the odd TLBC pilot in my own hunting grounds
Lets keep it clean and smack free anyway, after all as you said its only a game, and we're out to have fun aswell. Please notify us of any 3FA pilot caught smacktalking/logging out in combat and they will be dealt with accordingly as we do not tolerate such behaviour from our pilots.
Hopefully some modicum of mutual respect can continue between us, such conflicts have the tendancy to degenerate into childish forum bickering which generally detracts from the fun.
See you in Space

In related news Lord jester of Hot Souce corp has the dubious honor of being the 1st pilot podkilled in this lil war:
2005.06.03 20:52:00
Victim: Lord Jester Alliance: 3rd Front Alliance Corporation: Hot Sauce Destroyed Type: Capsule Solar System: Stacmon System Security Level: 0.6
Involved parties:
Name: Talyn Draco (laid the final blow) Security Status: 2.2 Alliance: Unknown Corporation: The Legitimate Businessmans Club Ship Type: Raptor Weapon Type: 125mm Railgun II
