Moved from EVE General Discussion to the Stations and Starbases forum - Jacques
A lot of us are already losing a cycle on our reactors every DT, as detailed in THIS LINK, but now we're losing even more with each reboot.
On top of all this, some of us are getting rather short on fuel and would VERY MUCH LIKE to be able to get gas to the towers...buuut..we're STUCK and can't login to do so! Coupled with the fuel bug, we could very well run out of fuel before we should be.
I'd been a good little POS operator and submitted bug reports and petitions, detailing the bugs and taking the hit in the wallet, hoping they'll be fixed soon, buuuut....
...if my corp's towers are offline when I finally get in today, I'm going to petition it and demand to have it and everything else re-onlined by a GM and have a week of fuel dumped in my tower as compesnation for all the lost fuel and isk from lost reactor cycles over the last month. I'd suggest all other aggrivated POS operators do the same. It seems being nice and helpful isn't paying off at all.

Look on the bright side, if you can't log in to refuel it, it means no-one can log in to destroy it. Is a few hours of lost production really that painful?

Yes. It means I have to find some additional materials from the market (which are rarely sold on the open market at all) to fill my production gap to meet my contract. Please note I have to BUY them, when I've already burned the POS fuel to make them.
FTR: I should be making some 16,800 units a week of a simple reaction product, but in reality, I'm getting about 9-10K units. THAT hurts.

Logging in to spend an hour per pos onlining stuff that shouldnt have gone down is aggravating, k?
I suspect they will rollback after they fix the bug as there are rather a lot of losses on the part of the players as they are used for live bughunting.
I am off to work in a mo for the next 12 hours so refuelling that pos low on water is now praying on my mind..

Not all of us have a German Keyboard or care to take 5 mins running through the char sheet to find the alt code.

Fixed that for you.
_ Alt+0220 ³ Alt+0252
(or " + u in some cases, which is far easier)

pos is a risk system. If you cant keep your pos fueled that's your fault not ccp. It's not hard to keep a few days supply of fuel inside the pos. Plan ahead it's not difficult. **** happens, if you cant deal with it sell your pos. pos are not for lazy people. They take work to keep them running. If it's too much work for you quit.

To an extent you are right but it's more complicated than just calling it a "risk system" or noting that planning is required. There is the concept of opportunity cost that comes into play and while I love my POS and certainly times will come and go when I'll redeploy it or change it's focus or even take it down for a period of time altogether, the overall question of whether it's good economics for me to continue with it revolves around whether the costs to run it and their benefits exceed the costs\benefits of the next best thing I would be doing if not for the POS.
In my case that means ganking\pvp. I've had my POS up about two weeks now and it's made me a bit of cash, but for whatever reason lately PVP hunting has been excellent. So rationally I should take down the POS and contentrate on what I do best, PVP, to maximize my income.
From a gameplay perspective of just what I "like to do" versus what makes the most money I prefer variety so for now the POS is staying up as I love the two to three nights a week I get to or have to do something other than pvp. It keeps Eve from stagnating.
In an ideal world, Ice product and fuel markets would become more robust. Esp for liquid ozone In fact, if Liquid Ozone were more readily available, I would be able to remove at least half the ice mining from my schedule.

So I guess you're the chief of your PoS:s and do all maintaining turning them online every time after DT? You know that the matter here is that PoS:s go offline after Downtime, and they are not supposed to behave that way. If you go to every PoS of yours and turn them on-line again and see how much the offline has cost you, I don't think you would have posted something like that. The responsible one in my corp for our PoS:s is getting very mad at this issue since he can't devote his time to other things then turning them online again. It's not the fact that we can't handle our PoS:s, it's the bugs that make them go offline every downtime, and that's not supposed to happen. It takes quite a while to go out and turn them on again. To those of you that still hang in there, I salute you. I wish these bugs will be fixed very shortly, I can only imagine how many ppl that lose interest in the game out of this.

This problem has not affected me really but it is a problem nonetheless. I left SWG because SOE couldn't get their heads out of their asses and fix harvesters from decaying away, factories from eating your resources and houses for swallowing up items inside...
Hopefully this will be addressed in a timely manner and not "soon".

Then what are you doing in this thread?
Within 6 weeks this problem, if not fixed, will effect EVERYBODY because all us POS owners will do is raise our costs to cover the shortfall, that will in turn get past on to people who buy t2 stuff.

If this bug dont appear on majority of POS, why should it appear later ? Anyway this and the "array -> reactor" missings cycles begin to been really borring. It's real bugs and when people are selling or producing with "contracts" is not acceptable to have things cutting down your ammounts, making lost in the thrust of contractors and incresing power of challengers because you will finish by buying the missings amounts to them.
