Hi im considering producing Platinum Technite (33600 units per week) and Titanium Chromide (33600 units per week) and was wondering what sort of demand is out there for these reactions.
Also if there is enough demand im looking for a contract to provide these.
thx

I believe this is something that will only be answered in Yulai. Allways investigate the market. If you find history of sells and buys you are ahead of the game.
I believe unless you are making the finished product its better to sell the Raw moon materials on the open market. My belief that having cartels and non-market trading will become obsolete. As more players test the open market the cartels will not be able to keep up. I also heard that they might allow POS in 0.7 and below? Can you say POS boom!! --------------------------

So are you saying it would be more worthwhile mining and selling raw moon materials such as Hydrocarbons,Silicates,Cobalt,Cadmium on two different moons instead of making a more finished product such as Chrystallite Alloy? These 2 moons are in the same system, and offer the convienance of producing a higher end product with relative ease. Is there a website that like the mineral tracker has a tracker for raw moon materials, simple reactions, complex reactions, ect. Maybe a page that focuses purely on t2 stuff?

Look at the sticky useful links.
Look soo many make POS reactions and never have enough raw moon minerals soo they set up multiple small towers. If a player corp wants to get involved in POS and want to make isk they should just sell the raw moon minerals on the open market.
Think of it as if you are a miner of roids. If you dont have the refine skills why would you refine the ore. You can refine but you get less isk for your goods.
Just because you dont see any sold or bought on the open market do not assume none are being bought or sold!!! --------------------------

Plat tech is near worthless at current prices. You barely make a profit at 2000/unit, and the market is demanding like 1 - 1.5K a unit.
Titanium Chromide isn'ty bad, that's used to make titanium Carbides, used for caldari ship armor platings. Should make about 4-5K a unit..maybe more if demand goes up.

Edited by: Xron on 10/05/2005 13:19:17 Current buy orders in markets does not necessarily reflect what people are willing to pay for an item...a lot of the current buy orders are put out just by people trying to make a quick buck...As for Plat Technite, I have been selling mine anywhere from 4-5k ppu.
If prices drop much lower...what is the use of smaller corps owning and operating POS's?

One thing to keep in mind is that the Yulai market prices highly likely do not reflect the price levels majority of the reactions are traded at, due to supply contracts etc. As for PT and TC, why produce those only? Both require just a plain vanilla non-metal reaction to complete the complex ,that should increase the margins already. Say, drop a med with small reactor on the TC moon, drop a large gall/caldari on the diborite moon with small+large reactors. if you can hit 7 mil a day maintenance costs for large POS that should put your fuel costs around 66-70 isk per unit of carbs, market price is around 170 still?

Edited by: Xron on 10/05/2005 13:22:46 One issue I have is trying to figure out why take it to the next level with my Plat Technite and Carbon Polymers and make Fullerides..There does not seem to be any possible way to make a profit on Fullerides if you are selling them below 200 ppu...and not much of an increase in profit if you are selling them from 200 - 300 ppu vs just selling your plat tech and cpoly's...Am I missing something...is my calculator borked? 8)

I will be placing buy order soon. Check your local region.
The only true valued way things will get going is stop the backdoor behind the kitchen in a smoking room dealings. Place your orders on the open market and lets get this part started. --------------------------
