Just list whatever you'd like to see in Eve (changes/features etc. etc.) I'll start it off . - Dropping of the sensor dampener as an option for ew: this module doesn't make sense to me, and it is still too powerfull even after being reduced in effectiveness. - Introduce a new EW module, Missile Guidance Disruptor, basicly the same effect as a tracking disruptor but antimissile, perhaps make this the 'racial' ew for Gallente. Would make some sense at least as Caldari are so heavily focused towards missiles. - A similar list to buddy list but specifically for enemies, which could show up with a different colour in local (perhaps orange?). this to keep buddies and enemies seperate and not drowning in all the buddies(amount of people in my buddy list if I would have all enemies and buddies in there would be around 600 easily, already 300 with just enemies, not even all ). - Missile changes as they are currently while keeping in mind that turrets have short range and long range types, make it similar with missiles. -Updating of the older eve models still in game, this is one thing I'd almost give an arm and a leg for . -Changing of minmatar stations to have bigger undocking bays. good one doesn't get stuck in it anymore but it doesn't help immersion having your ship poking through the station. -Dropping the idea of planetary flight, instead changing PoS to be built on the moons and introducing the possibility of planetary bombardement as well as planetary defense sentries etc. etc. Also perhaps changing some NPC stations to also be possible to be on planets/moons(some sort of docking ring would be the "exit" on the station.

Edited by: Hiigara Soban on 09/05/2005 07:27:14 - More added to the game to explore.. not just more eye candy and rat spawns.. more things that could actually be of good use to the person discovering them. And not the same things either.. items and things that have never, or very rarely, have ever been seen in EVE. Having them much farther away from any objects as well.. like several AU from anything, but a new way to travel (like a very slow warp drive, but much faster than microwarp drive, yet you can still control the movement of your ship as if you were using a microwarp drive) and of course penalties for using this module/ship so that it cant be used for anything other than its purpose of discovering things.
- I really doubt this would be added, but planet command and conquer . Not actually landing on planets or walking around on them.. but in a similar way of building a PoS by a moon, actually be able to launch some sort of probe at planets (after somehow taking them over and claiming them) so build structures and cities on the planets that can be used as a source of income (civilization taxes for example). Alliances and corporations, and maybe even the solar player wanting to try his/her luck at a nice moon or small planet, could more acuratly literally control solar systems when they have planets that they have civilizations on and can actually name and planets would have defence and NPC trade ships flying back and forth like station convoys. There could be many other uses for planets but im not going to write a book right now ____________________________________________________________________ Need moons scanned for a corporation Starbase? Convo or eve-mail me in-game for price details. I suply probes. |

A good user interface, get rid of every right-click menu that isn't utterly necessary and replace them with single-click buttons, streamline operations on multiple objects (ie reprocessing and repairing), I'm really tired of EVE's UI. Add hot keys for everything.

3200mm Armor plates.
And sensor dampers are not overpowered, after the nerf they are practically useless because you can gank at higher ranges then you can jam...

Being a pvp'er I would love to have a "RELOAD ALL" button instead of waiting almost 30 seconds for my guns to reload, also the UI could be a lot more streamlined, get rid of the useless stuff, I dont think anyone really uses the Tactical overlay at all, also hotkeys as mentioned above like for targetting Oh that would be excellent, click player HOTKEY target locked YAYS, instead of target locking gates cos of lag and other such stupid things. -

Turbulance:
When a huge battleship flies half a km from your frigate it's rather boring. There should be 'tinny rumbling' noises, sounding like your ships is about to shake appart. Also there should be some camera shake. And of course the Star Trek style 'woosh' noise as a ship passes you.

salvageable shipwrecks I.e.If you find the wreck you might be able too salvage some rare modules or with enough points in the salvage skill and a ship tug tow it back too a station and repair it and retrofit it for your own use.

I use the tactical overlay... it's nicer to look at then just watching numbers and clicking buttons...
Eves beautiful graphics are sadly completly irrelevant to the gameplay, most fights you could just as well win if there wasn't any graphical representation - so I try to use it as much as possible anyways, I mean what good is having a beautiful game if the most important thing to look at during combat is a number under your lock icon...

Excellant suggestion!! Definately would add to the imersion factor.
To that I would add "modified ships".
Example: A builder spends time to research a BP. In addition to being able to build that ship for less material costs, they should also be able to modify one trait such as base armor/shield or cap limit or base speed.
Not by a large amount you understand, but enough to make one ship builder's product more desirable than one from a builder that didn't take the time to reseach the BP.
The problem of course is the use of server resources and being able to track the vessels that have modifications. |

NPC traffic going through gates and in and out of stations. Its strange to me that the only NPC ships you see are either in missions, are convoys that just flat away from stations, or are police hovering around somehting. What about other NPC pilots? We hear stories and stuff about other people travelling around space, but we never see them.
Put in Concord agents or allow people to work for them, so people can actually make a living off of hunting down prates with bad statuses and defending the peace. But make their missions more difficult.
And like Hayzo said, make stations orbit planets and moons, moons orbit planets, and planets orbit stars. Some might argue that this would ruin the current BMs, but I'm willing to sacrifice their leisure for better immersion. They could just switch BMs to register how far away and in what direction you are from an object.
And please, PLEASE, make at least 4 different models for the different asteroids n such! Its annoying to see them all look the same, and for miners that can drive us MAD!
It would also be nice to have a bit of a random feature/mark on stations to give them some individuality. What exactly, I'm not sure and would rather leave up to them. The White-Trash Icon |

add more map filters. If I want to just see one region I should be able to hide the others. Just make a check box once an empire is selected to display the appropritate regions.

Make Concord, the empire fleets and some corps player controlled. So instead of the big alliances resembling each other in goals and means to achieve these goals, there would be player alliances who where not there for the rather simplistic goals like : Universal Domination, Mega-wealth or highest rating on the kill boards.

I can add some more - like the salvageable ship wrecks guy, have some kind of scrapmetal in the loot can that one can refine to minerals (perhaps even have some T2 scrap metal , that yields T2 components and perhaps the POS stuff) - changing the grid design of eve, instead of having a ship just dissapear 400km from a gate (or however far it is) have instead a "bubble" around every player ship where others are visible, I don't know if this is possible but damn it would be nice . - introduction of "named" ships, a builder could for example produce a bpc of a ship and it would have a random chance of being upgraded to a named ship, perhaps have 4 types of named ship, maybe one has more armor than normal, another an extra hi slot, maybe its faster, etc etc. Should be relatively easy to do, I think (apart from the coding needed to have the changing of bpc, but it could also be used for other modules) of course the more runs on the bpc the less chance of a good named version. - fixing of the loot tables, no more gisti from centi complexes... - Dropping of Bookmarks in space, in favor of some skills and modules to go with it that make your warping more accurate, you can bookmark a static item in space and with the skill (perhaps astrometrics) and a module(think navigational array) the range to the bookmarked item gets closer and closer the higher the skill level and the better/more modules. (have to give credit of this idea to a dev, think it was Oveur, i've read it in last devchat)
Thats it for now , keep em coming

hello I need just a small feature in wallet UI : on the data window wich display current sell/buy orders, is it possible to add an entry in the context menu for a shorcut to "view market details" I think it will be usefull to check price of my item currently for sale before modify the orders.

Ability to pay concord to send a fleet to a special stargate or astroidbelt for an hour or two. really expensive but you might have the ability and it could be usefull for heavy transports in 0.0 systems.
collision between ships in space and the armor take huge damage.
Overall more sound and visual effects, a damage ship you can hear and see the damage.

Which would be possible if concord was player controlled.
the difference between npc and pc is like the difference between computer rpgs' like baldurs gate and tabletop RPG's with a GM, human control adds so much more. Also this should fit nicely with CCP's policy of more player interaction.
