So I see I get two free remaps.
I've only been playing a short time and this seems like one of those things that I could see myself really regretting using six months from now....because I didn't know what I was doing.
My question is this....how big a deal is having 22 in stat as opposed to 20 or 18? I've searched around on the net and the forum but didn't see anything about how much difference a couple of points in an att makes one way or the other.
I decided to hold off on using one til I get a better handle on things...but am curious about this for when the time comes.
As always, thank you much. |

Your neural attributes affect how long skills train. I would hold off on using your remaps until you know what you want to do in the game. A tenebris ad lucem novam imperium ortum |

It helps most in the longer to train skills. If you use EveMon to plan your skills, it has a feature which optimizes your attributes. You get 2 remaps when you start, and one every year after that. |

Actually you get 3 remaps. The normal yearly remap and two bonus remaps.
As others have said, you should probably hold off until you understand exactly what you are doing. As an new player, I would also recommend going to a somewhat balanced remap for the first year or so. No matter what you decide to do, you are going to have to train a wide variety of skills to start. |

EVEMON or EVEHQ is the key here.
Those programs can build a skill plan and then they can be used to see how to optimize a remap and how much you would gain with it.
To give an example:
I have a newly created alt with a skill plan of nearly a year, the remap would have saved me about 10 days (cause a lot of skills have different attributes).
So I didn't remap as that 1 remap you will waste with it for only 10 days isn't going to get me something.
However if you are later on training skills that take up to 2.5 - 3 months to train from 0 to 5, then collecting some of those skills with the same attributes and remap for those skills can pay off.
For a new player, I will suggest training up Cybernetics and put couple of implants in your head to speed up training. A set of +3 implants isn't all that expensive but they do help, unless you want to become a booster/trader/corp creator then you really only need 4 implants and can forget or downgrade the Charisma one.
