I described my problem to someone over TS once, and he said it was a faulty RAM module, but didnt explain how to fix it, i no longer speak to this person.
seemingly b4 exodus, i could run dual accounts and alt tab between fine, but now whenever i run dual accounts every so often my computer just totally restarts.
I have a 2.1ghx AMD processor, 1gb of RAM, a 64mb nvidea graphics card, if it makes a difference i cna find out the exact one. Can anybody help me, running expensive stuff thru 0.0 using the other account to scout them just having your comp restart is very annoying

The computer could be overheating, have you checked the necessary things like in the bios? motherboard monitor?

http://www.memtest86.com/
test your ram to fix it, you have to replace or sometimes clean the modules

One other tip is to clean dust from the fans in your CPU and graphics card.
I did this and it stopped crashing. Obviously the dust was causing it to overheat and shut down.

Memtest will show if you have a fault, if it does then its a matter of trial and error, if you've got more than 1 module of memory, u need to take out one at a time and then do your memtest again....painfully slow but you'll get the right results.
When i had faulty RAM my PC used to bluescreen when i ran anything RAM intensive, like 3D games. Thing was the faulty ram was being used for higher memory, 512mb+...so i had to be chewing some serious memory to even have a chance of a crash. Replaced the stick with a new one and never had a prob since. ---
