I bought a char months ago that was posted on the character bazzar. I look up the toon on eveboard to get this: Automatic API Update disabled, Reason: Character does not belong to account. When I try to log into eveboard with his new shinny Custom API
I get this message "Error occured trying to fetch API, Message: Authentication failure" I am very frustrated after hours of messing with it and searching for info on this problem.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? |

eveboard asks for "UserID" and "API Key" which is wrong if you are supposed to use new API keys.
For new keys you use "ID" and "Verification Code". Note that this ID is not same as "UserID" used with old API keys.

To be fair, it is the same exact thing just that CCP decided to give the API Key a ******** name. |

You will be able to register soon as I am about to reset all pilots to force an key update.

While that is being done, you cannot register as the reset also includes a major code change.

It's not same. Old keys used "UserID" which was same for all keys on same account. Now each key has its own "ID" number.
