Dear CCP,
I'm relocating and I have a lot of ships to haul. Can you create a new ship that has a sizable maintenance bay that can operate in hi-sec?
It would be nice to have it this weekend.
Thanks, love you guys!!

Orca for medium needs, Freighter and courier contracts for bigger ones.
You could always use Red Frog. They are reliable.

Can you courier contract battleships fitted with rigs? I've never tried that...

would be cheaper to melt them and just move. or put them up for contracts
I always left them where they are in station, Collecting them for resale in the future

Looks like the courier contract worked. It's a bit more work than just CTRL-A, drag & drop, but it's good enough.
Thanks for the education.

Edited by: Annabelle Shape on 18/08/2011 08:02:18 fitted / rigged ships can be wrapped and shipped, im doing that right now pulling out of a wh, about 40 cruisers to move so theyr all going into a freighter.
but yes, a dedicated ship hauler would be nice for those of us moving ships for piratical alts. |

I could envision a ship based on car-carrier trucks today, where the ships being transported are all docked to the outside, and size mattering of course. It would be funny being able to see all the ships being moved as well, looking like a bunch of piglets slurping up lunch from mom.
Could make a tempting target...

They only recently changed this within the past year or so, so don't feel too out of the loop. I did not even know about it myself until what I am certain is months after it was implemented.

Here's a free tip to CCP: Make a new skill + module(s) that increases a carrier assembled ship hold. The tradeoff is that the ship is worthless in combat, needs more jumps/fuel or whatever or something. Make it so.
