With money being so hard to come by, especially for small alliances that can not take on bigger ones and therefore are stuck with useless space, the average grunt seems to prefer to PVP much less often, or only in cheap ships, because they don't have many ways to make isk.
Before, I could log in for an hour and make some isk in that time. Now, however, I first have to actually find a lowsec system that is not already completely crowded, warping randomly from anom to anom finding that they are all taken, and even then most systems have afk cloakers that can hotdrop at any time.
I am thinking about going and doing missions, but I think it is simply time to quit the game. They only reason I play this game is to PVP while hanging out with friends, everything else is extremely tedious. But now I spend 50% trying to make isk, 40% of the time looking for a fight or getting blueballed, and only maybe 10% actually fighting. So why would I play a game where 90% of the time is spent doing things I don't like?

The jump bridge nerf fixed small-gang pvp in nullsec. 0.0 space is now filled to the brim with small groups of ruthless elite pvpers. It's literally all cookies and rainbows now.

Because CCP has the space MMO market by the balls and can make absolute crap and have people stick with it. On the other hand I find this nullsec *****ing funny, in NPC nullsec I'm popping hauler npc's that drop 400 million isk in Mexallon and last I checked a Hurricane is like 45m fit and can do almost any type of pvp worth doing. The stuff it can't do is blobby and too laggy to be worth doing anyway.

Less systems to rat in = less places for null sec dwellers to move around to = less small gang roams to multiple systems. That or you can camp a gate and kill haulers... this is what the majority of the elite pvp dudes do.
It's pretty easy to open dotlan and find good ratting systems to take a small gang to in order to pick a fight.
What typically happens? Sirens go out and horn of gondor is blown, 30-40 man fleets are formed to combat a 5-6 man gang. You're forced to run to the vast, empty expanses of EVE that are uninhabited.
So, either blob, go out with your blob, or sit on thumbs waiting for blob to come to you.

Hate to say but I have not seen a decrease in small gang pvp ships either over in DRF regions or back in delve and then pureblind all places I was active after the patch.

Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
