So in a few of the dust trailers we see ships engaging in orbital bombardments... I'm just wondering if only cap ships will be able to do this... or maybe well have a new class of guns/ships just for orbital bombardment... just my 2 cents... was wondering what other people thought about this.

Hopefully it will be a dread only feature which would require you to be in siege to.

Has it been confirmed this would be a feature in eve?
Does the mean eve and dust players can use the same stations, and see the avatars from both games?. I had hoped that would be the case, but i seem to remember that wouldn't happen because the two games would not be that closely linked.

No, it hasn't been confirmed. Just about nothing has been confirmed for Dust514. Eve players are still in the dark about how planet sov and system sov will be handled, duster's are still in the dark about how their gear will be handled. Also in the dark as to wether their command ships will have placement in the Eve Online playspace. We also don't know how they plan to deal with destroying structures, will they have timers? Will their be any way to predict an attack as to have defense dusters on the ground during the initial invasion? When is this supposed to be released again?

I remember reading somewhere that the closed beta was going to start sometime in the last quarter of this year or first of next year. The current rumor mill makes it sound like the winter expansion is going to be more WIS stuff and then a big revamp to SOV play. I'd imagine that we'll hear more about how Dust plays in after that is released.

How about letting us use the stations at all, first. -

I would like if DUST players could use EVE stations. Heck, I think DUST items should be tradable in EVE and such, but only able to be used on DUST.
They indicated there might be both MMO-like battles that affect the EVE-verse, as well as just matches for when there isn't sov being fought over. Maybe Orbital Bombardment is like a Tactical Nuke in Modern Warfare 2. ;)

So in a few EVE trailers we see alot of shyt that isn't in the game at all or is totally not possible to do with the current mechanics... I'm just wondering we will ever be able to do these things... or maybe it will be a new version of EVE just for people that like working games... what do you think about this?
I wouldn't get your hopes up on anything with DUST beyond it being a consul FPS, with missions seeded by EVE players [to do it in place of paid content Devs that are working on EVE around the clock]... why hire when you can use volunteers to add content to the game and get paid to do it - Tom Sawyer the best economist ever!

You've seen trailers for Dust. I don't think there has been a trailer for "Eve with Dust."

If attacks on PI installations become a reality, I'll quit the game ... never mind, already quit, and waiting for my paid time to run out in Oktober.

If you think they are going to let Eve players have any substantial impact on Dust games you aren't thinking straight. Eve is mostly addicts who would find it very hard to abandon the time invested. Dust is a new and fickle audience as well as a massive investment.
A trailer is not a game design promise.

People actually don't believe there'll be a form of orbital bombardment? Link 1 "EVE players can attack planets from orbit, and Dust players can retaliate in real-time."
"After six months of testing the waters, experimenting with orbital artillery battles, and balancing the between-game consequences, Dust will launch for "essentially free.""
Link 2 "CCP confirmed that just as in the climax of the E3 trailer, DUST defenses will include buildings able to attack EVE players in orbit of the planet."
"When asked if DUST players would call up to EVE players in orbit for air strikes in realtime, the CCP representatives revealed that this will be in the game. "We have that actually working," they announced. "We've already done it; it's quite fun.""

I won't believe anything until I at least see it in beta.
CCP have a track record as being the Peter Molynieux of MMOs for what they deliver compared to what is promised.
