Just to reiterate
More ****ness in **** software i havenever had the discourtesy to meet...
Its ****ness persists upon my library of over 100Gb of music (of which 80% i DO actually own - the other 20% being rare unreleased and hard to find kinda stuff)
and its still **** - i mean really really really ****...
The ****ness goes on....
I swore once that Apple software would never touch my computer, but someone gave me an iPod...
I rue that day.....

Thank you blane.. this is what i was hoping to hear - i hear so much Apple great Apple good and yet deep down i know Apple **** Apple ****.
I await the day they uneash the "remkove all illegal software" app as an accidental update....

Works fine for me with 121 GB (No clue how much is legit, a lot ?).
Time for new hardware ?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I hate itunes so much but have to have it on my PC for my iphone. I don't play any music through it though. I actually find the Zune software amazing. It's easy to use and auto updates when you add new music to your PC and the Zune HD is a nice piece of hardware.
I also just signed up with Spotify so I can use that to play music over my iphone and completely ignore itunes or trying to add music to my phone which is stupidly complicated and not intuitive at all.
