It's pretty logical actually
We have two "facts": * Clothes aren't lost when you're podded * When you fly your ship you are naked in your pod
Logically we have to conclude that we undress when we enter the pod. And as the clothes are not destroyed together with the ship/pod we have to conclude they are not in some compartment of the pod either.
Therefore, to be able to have the exactly same clothes when you dock at another station you have to have ALL your clothes there as well. In fact, in reality you need ALL your clothes at all stations you can possibly dock in! Imagine the costs for tens of thousand copies of the same clothes! That's why they are so expensive

nullWhen you buy your Japanese Boutique Jeans they charge you $1000 because you actually get a pair at every station in the Eve universe.
That way when you are podded and you wake up in your clone station, your jeans are waiting for you in your CQ.
Its the only explanation I can come up with as how your clothes are present at every station in the game and also not be destroyed when you are podded.
(gotta wonder where each station stores all these clothes for every pod pilot in the Eve universe)
In case anyone from CCP is wondering, yes I am being intentionally sarcastic, as indestructable clothes & eye implants are immersion breaking! --- Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum I can tell you that this is one of the moments when we look at what those at CCP will do and less of what they say. |

* it's not the clothes that are too expansive, it's you who are too poor * even if you had enough isks for, you would not actually buy clothes, consider you buy the right to wear the clothes. If you are podded, you don't loose this right.
Do you really think that a shirt could cost more than a ship in any society ?

That's a trick question, isn't it ?
The most expensive shirt is valued at ú23,000 (over $45,000). I think you could buy a boat for that kind of money.

Actually I think it's just the way SOE wanted it to work.
Gotta ease the masses into MT, don't want it to be too brutal - or they might not embrace the next wave of them.

It's to pay the cloning bill. The clothes are jump cloned to every station you go to.
