I really like the idea of a space mmo where you fly around in spaceships with friends and blast aliens but it order to that, you have to join a player corp. Well, I have been trying to join a corp and maybe do PVE missions with corp mates but all the player corps I've joined gets war decced. It's always a massacre. Every time, we undock, the other guys blows us to smithereens.
I really like eve but I wish they have a PVE option for people who don't want PVP forced down their throats like me. |

You're exactly right. Eve is a game where you do not know what to expect until you realize you kind of shape it into your own. That being said, anybody that has had there normal game play interrupted by circumstances beyond there control know that it is quite annoying. |

Stick around, all that spaceship stuff is on the way out. The new EvE doesn't require you to undock, just pay real $$$ to dress the dolly & cyber with your friends.
That's the PVE option in EvE. |

I must say, it makes no sense to me that concord wont help players in the middle of a one sided wardec. Fair enough if it initiated from both sides. It's like me saying to the cops "i will rob this guy at some stage within the next week" and the police doing nothing to help the other guy and letting me get away with it. |

Police are there to control unrestriced violence, if we keep fighting each other we won't turn our hyper powerful never dying War Fleet on us. They give us just enough slack not to revolt, these are not Cops in the normal sense.
Join a Corp that isn't Wardec bait for starters.

Why are you still here? You're like a rash that simply will not go away.
As for the new guy, you can survive and do PVE, even without the wardecs. All you have to do is be careful, watch local, setup your overview and have a tab for non-friendly targets. Travel in groups, establish an intel channel.
This game is a lot more involved than just running up to an NPC, excepting a "quest" and killing 15 boars. Harsh as that may sound, I commend you for making it through the tutorial, at least and sticking around to see what its all about.
Sadly though, there aren't any extraterrestrials, yet.

Yeah Op I hear ya. I really just wanted to hit a few buttons and receive cake, too. CCP should understand that unimaginative people have money to spend on their game. I would like them to add an item to the cash shop to make me invulnerable to player ships. That way I can go to low and null sec to shoot the red crosses.....I'd pay at least $100.00 for 24 hours of that. |

There's this cool PvE feature! It's called "contracts". Basically it works like this: You contract all of your stuff to me. Then you leave the game for WoW. Easy, i'nit? |

That's like complaining about Call of Duty having weapons.
EVE always has been, is and always will be a PvP centric game with PvE attached to it. If you don't want PvP I'm afraid you will have to look for a PvE game. |

And it isn't necessarily common sense to try to find out if a GAME that purports to be the first step in a full immersion space simulation is going to turn into an endless round of virtual deaths.
Only stupid people buy stuff, don't bother to check what it is they are buying just to complain. I knew exactly what I was in for when I started, how hard is it to google and read? |

1. Us too. How 'bout that.
Originally by: vetzorz but it order to that, you have to join a player corp.
2. No you don't. Just create a channel and all form up there. You could have a single member corp alt who manages assets. And if you're not that big a corp, there's almost no organisation required.
Originally by: vetzorz Well, I have been trying to join a corp and maybe do PVE missions with corp mates but all the player corps I've joined gets war decced.
3. By losers who like to play station camp games and pad killboards. It makes baby Jesus cry. Refer to answer 2.
Originally by: vetzorz It's always a massacre. Every time, we undock, the other guys blows us to smithereens.
4. Because they're very good at undock games and using hi-sec noob-corp logistics alts and smacking in local. They practice this a lot.
Originally by: vetzorz I really like eve
5. Us too it's awesome.
Originally by: vetzorz but I wish they have a PVE option for people who don't want PVP forced down their throats like me.
6. Refer to point 2. Stay in noob corp, and create a private channel. Use this channel for comms/intel/eve-voice. Create a mailing list in lieu of corp mail. Or just use an online forum. You can still take part in noob-corp events, and still have your own events, form up gangs, get a TS3 server, get a forum. You just don't get a corp hangar or a hi-sec POS. Loser hi-sec pirates can't war dec noob corps. Just don't shoot the looters or they'll come back in a bigger pwnboat. |

Yes, because, clearly, shooting my imaginary lasers at another player's imaginary spacehip in an internet spaceship game about blowing up internet spaceships is a sociapathic activity. :)
There is no question that your angry, emotional response to having your imaginary, internet spaceship in a imaginary, internet spaceship game virtually blown up by another internet spaceship in a PVP spaceship internet game is anything but rational however.
There, I think I got it. |

I dom't understand your statement at all, no offense.
I do a lot of solo and group missions, and it's been a blast. Literally.
The problem is not with the PVE content (though they could really add more variety to smooth out the repetition). I think it's because your corporation gets war-on too much.
You also don't need to join a corporation, just make a lot of friends to fleet with.

My first corp ended up in a series of war decs, mostly by merc corps. Use it. Learn to PVP with it. It is fun to a point until the repetition gets to you.
But if you keep getting in corps that get war decced then you need to learn more about where those corps are operating. I've been in several corps that haven't been war decced at all. It's all about location, location, location.
Get with a small corp that operates well within high sec but not near the main trade hubs. Have a place far from traffic and your corp area of operation to do solo stuff. Jump clone there when necessary.

Which of the last (N) trailers didn't have people shooting at each other in them?
Oh, the one with the dude disbanding his own alliance and stealing all of their stuffs.
OP: you're right, EVE is not for you. Save yourself a year of your life and go play another game. (No this is not meant in an ironic way. EVE is a game about shooting people. If you don't like shooting people, it's not the game for you.) |
