*LOL* nice one, altough probably unintentional.
He was, very probably, refering to big numbers who don't show with dots. ^^

But seriously, the character editor needs a facepalm pose. :( --------------- Faction-Militia:Player-Alliance::Newbie-corp:Player-corp |

This has got to be the best Incarna-related idea I've seen in a long time.
On a side note: I thought this post was complaining about fleet combat.

That's completely up to the localization. Some countries use "X.YYY,ZZ" and others use "X,YYY.ZZ" .

Sorry if i wasnt specific enought.
I want just something that splits up the number. its not that interesting if its american or european way-or just spaces...
i guess if its splitted like ISK its fine. so i can easier read the number of reasources to get a idea how much i need.
if i build like a bunch of ships (or anything bigger) at once i could need this.

It gets hard to define 1000000000 from 100000000, without a coma or dot ingame.

I would really like to see some separation in numbers too. Whether it's by comma or decimal, it should be easily done by detecting the client locale.
Also, for any of you uneducated folks, the thousands separator varies between countries. Some use a comma, some use a decimal mark.

Probably. Windows itself has options that determine how digit groupings are done, how decimals are displayed, negative numbers, currency behavior, along with numerous of other digit display settings (Region and Language).
Pulling that setting would probably be the easiest for the majority of users, as it would automatically cover just about every instance.

I demand commas over dots! You know it makes more sense.
Comma = A pause between parts of a sentence. A break. A rest. Still a continuation. Period = Used at the end. Stops the sentence. That part of the paragraph is over.
15,300.75 Fifteen thousand three hundred is one part of the value, with the .75 being separate. Read as a sentence, this makes sense.
15.300,75 WTF is this garbage? If read as a sentence the interpretation would be: The number 15. STOP! The number 300, with 75.
Pi (3.14159) is often pronounced as "Three point one four one five nine"
Oh yes, and what do we all use for scientific notation? Decimal points, if I recall correctly. Google says so too. I couldn't find scientific notation using commas. 1.2345 * 10^4 = 1.2345 * 10 * 10 * 10 *10 Oh look, that period is used as a decimal place!

Well, many countries use commas as a decimal separator. My country (Lithuania) is one of the examples. Although i'm all in for a unified system for these. Frankly, most OSes have localization settings which actually define decimal points and digit grouping symbols, so eve should adhere to this as well.
Although i vote yes for using digit grouping symbols in large numbers!
