When I was ninja in the first months of my gameplay, I easily tanked whole npc aggro in pockets and salvaged at the same time. Vigil and speed tank for the win. With the same trick you can do lvl 5 missions on stealth bomber.
But most of noob salvagers on destroyers/cruisers and scanning ships will probably die, indeed.

We had a ninja in a corp mates mission.. we came with 6 ship RR fleet, RR'd his scanning ship, Orca and Scorp and warped out... came back and salvaged the wrecks of all 3 of his ships... good and funny money maker. haha.

Originally by: Maverick2011 Level 3 one, was collecting loot, then this dude on a slasher shows up. I instantly close the game. Ship itself isnt worth a million and loot was from level 3 mission, but my implants cost 45mil.
How long dos it take for your ship to leave the game when you click the quit button?
Surprised you even leave the station.
In a high level high sec system, someone attacking your ship usually get about 2 rounds off before they're destroyed by CONCORD, so if you can survive the those 2 rounds you usually will live to tell the tale and laugh at your attackers wreak. Even if they do destroy the ship the chances of getting your pod as well is very small.
Normally if you get a visit, they're just after salvage, although they will steal loot too if they think they can get away with it.

And, may you remind us what does "RR" stand for? Just in case there was some miner here and she wasn't on PvP slang...

Remote Repping. One ships repairs another.

Simple solution:
Just shoot your wrecks, it PSS them off and unlikely to bother you again in the future.

How would they know it's you? A ship type comes up on the probe, not a ship name. It doesn't prevent anything, you're just wasting ammo.
It's a good profession for nubs anyway. I'd rather blitz the mission and move on than salvage.

Even if he blows your ship its very easy to get away with the pod... Bad idea to close the game.
Yea i didn't know it took long, well doesn't matter much to be honestly, just didn't want to watch it, i'm tired and about to sleep.
You're worried that a slasher is going to take out your. . . what were you flying?

Had someone rock up to enemies abound pt 1 in an Anathema, grabbed the mission item from the can and brought it down for me (Yay for saving me the trip in a 112 m/s battleship). I thought he was a ninja salvager and started shooting up my own wrecks. Turned out he was just doing it for the fun of exploration and to help me out. We're now friends... well, as much as you can be when you have conversations through google translate since his english is better than my russian.
Sometimes, you can trust people. ---- Flying a Tengu is like turning on EvE's godmode cheat. Sure, you're winning, but you've got it so easy no-one will respect you for it. |
