That's the level of professionalism we get from our elected representatives.
CCP you fail at PR like Japan failed at PR after the earthquake. The only difference is that human lives are not at stake here. Jobs are though, and I am so glad it's not mine.

Professionalism?
They're just some random players elected in a "advisory council" for a spaceship game, not career politicians. --------

People that come to the Eve forums to discuss real life politics fail at life. It is the overwhelming consensus that CCP fails at game politics. This is simply another example of that.

that doesn't change the validity of the previous statement whatsoever
being a CSM member doesn't mean anything in that regard, a blog is a blog is a blog

I'm as annoyed as the next person at how things are going in general. I accept that we will have to wait until tomorrow for news of substance.
You look as if you are just searching for something to express some indignant outrage over. Chill a little. You come across as one of those old biddies that sends letters of outrage to the BBC every time Graham Norton says something distasteful.

Then that's your problem right there.
If people vote for CSMs just because the CSM thinks it's cool to be a CSM then that's the communities failing.
If CSMs are not representing the player base in a professional manner, then you should be more careful in their selection.

Did you not watch the Fanfest keynote/CCP Presents? I don't think a company who wanted so many people to chant "F*** Yeah" is going to be concerned by the "professionalism" of a blog site. ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

CSM comment was extremely juvenile and deserves to be slammed. But I'll assume he is 16 years old and give him the benefit of the doubt.

I like how this whole debacle has been treated like it is anything other than a game, like it is comparable with the real world events that really have an impact on the lives of the folks involved.
And if it does?
Maybe it's time to realize that internet spaceships aren't all that different than internet pants.

Seemed more like a good natured comment, to me.
I want a gamer for a CSM, and judging by the "suffer *****es" comment, that's exactly what I've got. Not only did his comment not bother me, it made me chuckle out loud.
The rest of his blog gave enough general information to both satisfy some concern as well as peek some curiosity about what will be said in the morning.

I agree, CCP should stand responsible for the actions of their playerbase. Their apparent failure in keeping the community in control has lead to threads like this being created. Unacceptable I say. Unacceptable.
CCP fire this player or I will sell my monocle. Parrots, commence!
