We finally know we're not getting Gold Ammo. Let's assume for the time being, this means we won't be getting anything pay-to-win, such as Jove ships, GM-ultra-mega-deathrays, or hyper sp generating implants.
However, Aurum is here to stay, and no amount of shooting at monuments will take it away. If we want CCP to make the best of it, we should start telling them what we want, as opposed to just complaining about what they shouldn't do. After all, the most they've heard mention of over the last few days have been complaints of game-breaking mechanics. But what would you like to see that isn't game-breaking?
- How do you feel about paying for neural remaps?
- How do you feel about paying for SP resets?
- What type of clothing would you like to see added to the Aurum store?
- Furniture and stripper poles for CQ?
- Racing stripes on your Dramiel/Ship paint jobs?
- BPCs and BPOs for furniture/clothing? (obviously not the same ones you see in the NEX store)

Edited by: Vikarion on 26/06/2011 19:25:07 I hate the idea of pay-to-win MT. Aside from those, however, I'd love the option to:
- Paint my ship - Change character clothes - Buy different station environments - Purchase interface "themes" - Buy PF items, like exclusive chronicles - Audiobooks to listen to in Eve - Music in Eve - Maps - Character name changes
EDIT: Oh, and to see ship spinning again - at least $10 for that.

I'd pay a reasonable amount of Aurum (ie. 50-100 AUR) for access to paintjobs for ships. Unlimited access. For any faction, across any ship. Meaning, I'd be able to give my Moa a Serpentis motif, complete with green lights, green engine effects, and green blinking lights, as little sense as a Serpentis-aligned Moa would make, or an Ishukone-styled Punisher.
I would be willing to purchase vanity items, implants, clothing, for 100-1000 AUR depending on just what the item is.
As for neural remaps, I figured we could already do that with PLEX, can we not? It's logical that furniture might end up being an AUR-purchased item. But, due to the fact that Furniture should, in the universe of the game, be extremely easy to produce, far much more so than ships, it would, in my mind, make sense if it was cheap.

The vanity items are fine really but that's it.
Pricing has to be much cheaper as well.

I agree with this guy minus the ship spinning. Just give us back that, you made it and gave it us than took it away. If you charge for it now, lets just say the community will be greatly ****ed.
I only agree with it because it is non game changing. Dispite my hatred for MT, if its non game changing and will NEVER I repeat NEVER make a difference in game, than I don't mind as much.

Anything that has something to do with SP gains or SP redistribution: Nope
Character name change is bad because part of EVE is to have at least your reputation and such follow you. Resculting face is ok.

EDIT: Don't like the idea of buying SP with Aurum, neural remaps is okay since you get one every year anyway.

Aesthetics only. No remaps, no implants, no resets, no standings.
If it has a direct effect on gameplay, no.
BP's on vanity items is a shaky. Could these vanity items be spent on ISK? Or would you be spending Aurum to make more Aurum?

Interesting you mention these. Those are all great ideas for Aurum-based offerings.
I had even thought earlier that neural remappings was something I actually *wouldn't* mind them taking away and then offering back for Aurum, just because that seems like the classic acccount service of convenience that subscription based games will offer.
I would love to be able to SP reset (NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER pay for SP, though).
I think the point is... there is so much they can do with this that doesn't have to involve P2W. This is not a F2P game, it's subscription based, P2W is unacceptable.

From a developer's standpoint, furniture should be easier for them to produce. It's /usually/ a static object, as opposed to the complex movement and interactions of clothing, and hopefully this would be reflected in the cost. (Really should be under 100 Aur) http://experthousing.tumblr.com/ <- always relevant
Now if they produce rather extraordinary items for your house (Pet slaver hound, fishtank, holograms) that require animation, I can see those being a few thousand AUR.

Edited by: Maplestone on 26/06/2011 19:37:06 I would make aurum a raw material used in manufacturing walking-in-station goods.
I don't care if a monacle costs as much as a titan as long as it is as hard to manufactuing as a titan.
I know most people are drawing the line at vanity/non-vanity, but my personal line is between gameplay/no-gameplay.

Let's face it, you can already buy whatever you want in EVE with your favorite real world currency. Ships, implants, characters...
So long as new items are not introduced that provide an undue in-game advantage. Do not sell skill points, standings or remaps.
I think it's fine to sell anything else all the other stuff is already available anyway.

I'd assume ISK. However, since Aurum may soon be exchangeable between players, I wouldn't be surprised for people to put vanity items on contract for Aurum. But primarily, I was thinking ISK.
The idea is to make both developers and players happy. Devs want their Aurum, so they get paid. Players want to feel like they are an integral part of the economy, as that's one of the big appeals of Eve's gameplay. Having players produce vanity items is just one compromise.

Actually, that's a really interesting idea. But it should be two-fold. If you're paying for CONCORD protection, then you should be able to hire a CONCORD or police mercenary/drone to follow you around lowsec. Of course it wouldn't be unkillable, but it would make that rapier think twice before ganking your hulk.
