My client has been bugging up since I installed it, graphics card was melting and incarna was crashing eve. Thank god I live in wormholes. The first time I noticed this I noticed 100Mb of memory in ccpexe doing nothing an hour after eve had closed. The next time I launched and logged on, I get treated to this.
I think, maybe it's my hardware's fault. I uninstall eve completely and check my drivers and then reinstall. Problem is fixed... or so I thought.
I play for a while and crash as soon as I dock at a station again and get bored / log off. I come back and I'm treat to this in my processes. Apparently this was Zulu's most beautiful and successful expansion.
I suppose you haven't noticed titans can jump into high security, equipment frying itself, people unable to log on because of incarna, drones and turret bonuses not being applied, etc.
Don't say I have ****ty hardware, this is a ú1000 gaming PC and it's damn annoying that I can't go about my normal business on eve without the client crashing or trying to melt my computer.

Artifacts are generally a problem with your videocard.

I never had a problem until after Incarna and this shouldn't cause a memory leak. It's only artifacting ships / probably turrets and that's only after it crashes the first time. Also, look at the second picture. That's nearly 1Gb of memory leaking from the client.

I was watching a youtube video while running incarna, and my aero desktop crashed. Could be just coincidence though.

Have seen this before, had this issue since dominion. Usually either tabbing out of the client, or in case of windowed client, setting to fullscreen and back to windowed mode, fixes it.
Probably not video card related as I've switched that in the meantime, probably faulty RAM. Only happens sporadically.

You have ****ty hardware.
My old gtx260 with dust can run two Clients in CQ high settings (not immediately together, but after 2 mins of loading) - in can run one client fully CQ with another unloaded.
1000 quid on a 'gaming rig' means nothing, well apart from being overcharged mate. *******

Yeah, I was overcharged for 8Gb of Ram, 4Ghz quad core, 2Gb graphics card and 2 TB of hard drive space. Take note that this was a year and a half ago too.
Also realise that I can run Crysis at max settings at 60 FPS no problem.

When you are done being trolled about overcharged hardware, try running a memory checker utility.

afaik it was a GM that reimbursed it to the wrong location, isnt unheard of but not really common either
Originally by: voiddragon
equipment frying itself
there is a sticky regarding hardware and overheating issues and btw yes they have improved it, it was worse on duality, my FPS since the duality builds is about doubled when using CQ
Originally by: voiddragon
people unable to log on because of incarna
if you mean because of the SM 3.0, then that was intended, CCP mentioned plans of this months ago

drones and turret bonuses not being applied
Originally by: Patch notes
Server changes, released June 23, 2011
Drones
Drone bonuses will now be correctly applied when boarding a ship at a Ship Maintenance Array. Starbases, Outposts and Stations
When you board a ship from a maintenance bay your old ship is put in the bay and not left in space. Boosters and Implants
Fixed a problem where Cerebral Accelerators would expire immediately upon consumption. Weapons & Ammunition
In some cases scan probes and missiles were not get all bonuses from skills and implants after boarding a ship. This has been fixed.
you're three days late to complain about that (in this case however it was missiles)

There is a memory leak, I gave it a good watch with perfmon, global flags on. It's there. Damned if I'll tell CCP what I found, not that they would listen anyway.
My faith in CCP will return SoonÖ |
