If the rest of your hardware is adequate, it may be as simple as just replacing your graphics card. Why purchase a whole new computer? ----- CCP exhibits an alcoholic personality...please read |

I'd personally suggest doing just a touch of research and building your machine from the ground up. You'll get better hardware for less, learn quite a bit about the internals of a computer, and you gain a rather personal attachment to the computer itself.
Did it just last year, haven't looked back.

I'd probably go with the 3rd option. Better VGA, better processor (more cache), and faster ram. It only has a 500 GB, but thats not a big deal just get an external or buy another one down the line.

Option #3 is probably the best, but I agree on building your own (or checking with your local computer shop - not big-box retailer) and having them design one for your budget. Cheaper, less bloatware, and you can customize it. ---------.oOo.---------- Chaos, Madness, and Destruction. My work here is done. |

Don't go the pre-built route! When I get back from work, I'll send you a PM with a setup that suits your budget.
Don't give in!

I'm based in the US (and fail at currency conversion), otherwise I'd price one too.
Some guidelines: -Dual core CPU at the least. The more cache, the better. -Windows 7. It doesn't suck like Vista. -4Gb RAM. The faster, the better -500Gb HDD... MINIMUM. I prefer Western Digital. -nVidia cards are generally better for EVE, and easier to compare performance. All of the GT400 series run hot. GTX460 is a solid one, that doesn't run super-hot (I have an MSI - it will likely be the most expensive part) For a decent gaming box, look to spend $500-600 USD. Drop in another $100-$200 USD, and you can get a solid system that will handle most everything out there on moderately high detail for a couple years. ---------.oOo.---------- Chaos, Madness, and Destruction. My work here is done. |

It may be possible to simply add a new graphics card.
Need to know what you are currently using, though.
If your system and operating system are really out of date you might be better off to go new. As people have mentioned, building your own will give you a system that is more than adequate to run EVE with your budget. It's not as daunting as it may seem. If you've never put a system together before it may take you the better part of a day to get for a stack of boxes to a working rig. Not a huge price to pay for the performance boost over a pre-built system.
For example. I just built a system for under $4000 CAD that would easily cost over $7,000 if I had ordered it from a builder. That is real savings, friend.
