My thoughts are with the new improvments to the Omen, Stabber, Thorax and Caracal. All of these ships apart from the Thorax have navy versions, with the changes being made to these ships will the new role bonuses be transferred over to their navy counterparts?
The reason why i ask this is simply that if these changes are set and not done to the navy options it would render them almost useless, buffs like this must be spread across the range in my view.
Also kind of on the same subject if this is the case are we perhaps going to see a Thorax navy issue?.
Side note; love the plans CCP great job i want to see more of this. The person leading people in this direction to improve existing content should have the thanks of all small gang members of eve. I was going to leave the game until these details were released.
Thank you.

unfortunately, I think CCP will only be rebalancing tech 1 ships this winter. when they rebalanced frigates, they didint balance thier faction and tech 2 counterparts. I doubt they will change thier minds at this time.
my therory is that they are trying to get a feel on how players USE the T1 rebalenced ships so they can make a more informed and well thought out plan to buff Faction and T2 shplines. |

Why does T2 need to be rebalanced? T2 is about specialization not being better.
For example a Huggin webs from 45km, an Onyx drops a bubble. Neither of these roles are affected by changes to the Bellicose and Moa. |

Navy ships are affected as they are, with the exception of the navy scorp, nothing more than improved versions of the base model. Any changes to the base model must be copied to the navy version. The Troll is trolling. |

The reason why i ask this is simply that if these changes are set and not done to the navy options it would render them almost useless, buffs like this must be spread across the range in my view. The Navy ships already have moar power. More slots, WAY more HP, and more damage. Navy Omen: better damage bonus and full light drones. Navy Caracal: extra missile launcher and one more drone. Navy Vexor: extra turret and drone bandwidth. Navy Stabber: extra turret and a lot more drones.
Navy is still going to be better, but the gap will narrow, which is fine. Buffs should not be across the board all at once. CCP is rebuilding the ship line-ups. Frigates are the foundation. Cruisers are the next step and are the least used ships right now. How other ships, down the line, are balanced will be affected, or even directly determined, by what happens with cruisers.
Buffing under used ships is a lot less dangerous than buffing more powerful ones.
Suddenly Forums ForumKings wrote:Why does T2 need to be rebalanced? T2 is about specialization not being better. Specialization is being better at something specific. Some T2 ships need love. AFs got some recently (been loving the new Hawk, but the fittings feel low). Black Ops were mentioned in the CSM Minutes. Nighthawk has some fitting issues, or so I hear. Eagle... *snickers* ...ya. That. Interceptors may get tweaked to match Attack (formerly Tackle) frigates.
A few T2 ships cannot fill their intended role, or their intended role may change. |

I have little doubt that faction and T2 variants will see tweaks to their stats and roles, but I doubt that will happen until after all T1 tweaks are done.
So yes, there will be an awkward time when faction and T2 ships will not be a popular/useful as they once were, but that will pass. I will gladly put up with some ships being overshadowed briefly in light of so many more ships suddenly becoming useful for the first time. Already combat is becoming much, much more interesting out in the wild... and even the variety of ships you simply pass by in high sec local is becoming increasingly diverse.
There is much wisdom in CCP's approach to this. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

chances are the navy ships will not have the same bonuses as the t1 as navy ships should be superier to t1 so they may recieve totaly different bonuses exp.
Cara 5% to all missle types( lets hope this dont happen) Navy cara 10% kinetic bonus |
