How about an API that allows us to query the agents or the universe statistics?
Also how about adding the ability to view our contracts and contract history and missions active or offered.

Actually Manda is quite right in criticizing. The OP asks why there's not an API for the agents and for universe statistics. However there are APIs for agents and for universe statistics.

http://www.eveonline.com/api/doc/ goes to a blank page, what gives, no links on it?

This set of pages documents the workings of the EVE API.
But its BLANK. Not much of an index is it.
Ok but still add the Contracts and Mission APIs.
