IIRC, there's a thread for this, but I can't be arsed to use CCP's Excellent (TM) forum-search to find it, sooooooo:
I don't have super high-end hardware, but I would consider it well within "standard" specs for this day and age, and the CQ thing is essentially unplayable for me at present. Huge lag, jerky and unrespeonsive, and at best, about 3 FPS (And yes, that's with my normal settings, which have always been fine since I started playing in January 2009).
So: Is this Shiny New Feature(TM) going to be at all useable on standard PCs, or is it time to move on?
Spec:
The Box: HP m8125x Pavillion MediaCentre CPU: Intel CoreQuad2 @ ca. 2.4 GHz Resolution: 1440x900 GFX: NVIDIA GeForce 7350 LE, (Yes, I know this is an increasing liability, upgrade is in the cards as it were) OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit Memory 2 GBytes DDR2 (Again, upgrade to 4 GBytes, soon(TM))
Settings on Duality (same as, or slightly below my normal TQ settings, as stated):
Resource-cache: Enabled Anti-aliasing: Disabled Shader Quality: Low Texture Quality: Medium LOD Quality: Medium Shadow Quality: Low Interior Effects: Medium (switching to low doesn't seem to change anything)
All turret, explosion, drone-model, etc. effects on
So. Is this how CCP fixes its' flagrantly broken game? By making it unplayable so that enough people leave, thus reducing the number of complaints? Champion, guys, just champion.

If nothing has changed from the previous CQ installment on duality, then there are still 'forced' settings on CQ. i.e. the only setting which works right now is 'high'. If however, other settings have been introduced, their probably bugged, hence the lag. The new feature uses some pretty high detail textures and models. Your graphics card is a major issue here. From my own experience, i have updated my graphics card two times after the nvidia 7 series, which leads me to believe that the card is more then 4 years old. Back then, games like battlefield 2 were demanding on the card so theres your problem right there, especially if the graphics settings for CQ are forced on 'high'. And FYI that card is not even remotely close to 'standard spec'. CQ is a new, higher detail addition to the game, it will obviously be a bit more demanding on the system, but 3 fps does seem a little low, probably a driver issue perhaps.
