Attempts at reverse psychology and trying to goad me into insulting you won't work on me I'm afraid Jade.
I got what I wanted, which was for you to explode as usual and cause a huge scene when presented with the true black and white facts.
Nice try though.
I hope your pilots have an enjoyable Anniversary, be sure to pass on my regards to them.

Verone, for one who claims to merely be a pirate, you sure do love to argue with political activists. What point are you trying to make?

Politics tend to shape the cluster. Just because one has an NBSI engagement policy and no nationalist loyalties, it doesn't mean one can't keep track of political goings on.

I'm sure we'll be fine when faced with the torrent of mercenary corporations you'll no doubt have Revan send our way, given the fact you're not capable of fighting your own battles.
Remember, it's TXW. Tango, Xray, Whisky. Left turn at Ostingele, can't miss it.

Hmmmm I'm not sure you should be complaining about spurious mercenary decs after that extremely dodgy outfit that decced Moira simply to jack up our wardec fee Verone. Well, speaking as someone who's actually succeeded at angering Verone, this doesn't look much like an example of Ethan upset. He's said nothing here he couldn't say with a smile.

I do hope you're well.

Pretty much sums up my love for Rote Kapelle as well. I've never flown with a better bunch of pilots and never plan to fly with another.
Quote: What happened between Stimulus and JF is frankly a shame. A result of too many large egos colliding and failing to come to a compromise.
Have to agree with the fact that the circumstances were unfortunate, but ultimately the original reason most of us left was we were tired of stagnation every time Jade decided to vanish planetside--the organization at least back then was clearly a personality cult based around Jade, and whenever she was absent, the organization simply fell into a state of hibernation. Despite multiple attempts to motivate the leadership into organizing operations or allowing us to organize operations. For instance, we begged, pleaded, asked and demanded for an operation to hit the infrastructure of CYI, an organization that had refused to surrender and we had promised to return to hit until they did so. We wanted a snap wardec, attacks on their infrastructure, and a brief little road trip down to remind them who we were. The idea was ignored. That's just one example of many from that time period. We finally decided to take matters into our own hands and move on with our goals without Jade and Star Fraction as both seemed unwilling to step up and fight the revolution anywhere but the forums. There were no battles to be won on the Torrinos gate in EC-P8R, but that's where we rotted for 3 long months with no goals, no campaign, no real target to hit, we simply sat around lazily and did nothing.
Ultimately in taking matters into our own hands, in 12 short months we shattered the morale of Aegis Militia, an act that eventually led to their complete collapse, and in the short term cost them sovereignty in several systems. We moved on to shatter the Acheron Federation and quite literally grind it out of existence while simultaneously wounding CYI with what turned out to be a mortal wound. And we did all of that with 1/5 of the numbers that Star Fraction had at their disposal, on a shoestring budget without the vaults full of Tech 2 BPOs and cheap ships and modules provided to our members. We did it out of our own wallets, out of the burning wreckage of our victims, and the assets taken directly from Aegis Militia's coffers and hangars. We also did it after fending off several mercenary organizations hired against us by Revan Neferis on behalf of Jade. Organizations that outnumbered us 10 to 1.
I'll also mention that we sought out friendly standings with SF after leaving. We were summarily rejected.
Quote: In my eyes difference between you and me is the engagement policy and it is hardly an impenetrable barrier.
In mine, it is in the attitudes of our pilots. We are not complacent, we do not spend our time in stations talking up our revolution, we do not spend time caring about our public image, we do not spend time concerning ourselves with silly rules and the public's opinion of our honor and we do not feel the need to justify our actions. We simply do. We do it in space, using ammunition, and by having a real impact on individuals by showing them our superiority as freecaptains. We judge by the numbers of our converts (literally dozens of our members are individuals that we have converted to our cause--you need only look as far as the founding name on our alliance--Gorion Wassenar--to see the truth of this). That is the revolution. That is enlightenment. And that is what we do.
In any case, I bear no personal ill will towards the members of Star Fraction. And still would consider many of the pilots to be friends, though I would not hesitate to shoot them in space so long as hostilities continue between the organizations. ____________________ GM Sunshine > oops Neurotica > Hate to see a GM in your gang say 'oops'

8 years, congratulations are in order regardless of any sociopolitical posturing.
However I can't help but have a question and I'll apologize in advance if it comes off as argumentative.
How many years does it take before a group becomes just another one of those dastardly regressive regimes?

From what I've seen from Jade and Star Fraction, there is no element of regressiveness at all. Star Fraction is not your average, blood thirsty anarchist cell. The concept of free trade and what they call 'free space' in general is very progressive in nature.

If only the whole picture of such times were that simple...
Either way brings back a question to the present times; these current wars you are fighting against one another now, what is that exactly for? To see which organization should carry the title of true holders of the anarchist banner, or something else?
I'm interested to read a few different versions regarding this new war.

SF moved into our backyard. They put us up on their campaign propaganda as a target. We obliged them by shooting them, as they presented us with the opportunity on multiple occasions. Simple as that.
