Same here. Constant CTDs when jumping into another system.

Does not seem to be isolated. Some acknowledgement from CCP about this issue would be just lovely, as the game is pretty much impossible to play for me at the moment.
It was on Thrusday, saying it had been internally fixed and released before next week end i.e. 8 days of unplayable eve. ***The EVE servers and their patches***

Um, right click on tab: Blink off?
Not quite understanding what you are trying to say. If the chat window is minimized you will not see chat scroll. If you mean when the window is made as small as possible without minimizing, then chat should scroll unless you have the scroll bar someplace other than the bottom. Ashort video of your issue would greatly clarify your issue. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

Yes I know about right click blink off, however this is not the problem I'm talking about
I live in 0.0 so local window is always open so that I can see who is in local, however I don't like to see the local chat text, so I close this off as much as I can, in doing so it now makes the text flash in the chat box when the chat box is full

This got me as well for a bit until I looked above my HUD and realised what was happening. I don't know if they mentioned anything in the dev blogs but they appear to have changed the 'lock' (Ctrl + click) and 'look' (alt + click) to toggles. Hold the ctrl button down for a second or to and it toggles that command on, even if you take your finger off the button. Similar thing to look (which is a right pita when I alt-tab out). Tap the offending button again and it turns it off. This is different to the pre-patch behaviour where the lock and look functions stopped the moment you took your finger off the button. now they stay on until you hit the button again. Try looking for the white text just above your HUD when you hold shift or alt and what happens when you release it.
Still, a way to turn this toggle behaviour off would be nice.
P.S. I'm fairly certain the servers presently crashing isn't working as intended though...

In that case they should've implemented some indicator that the ctrl/alt key is toggled. As an explorer, I use the alt key quite often and of course I use it for several other commands and it's very annoying when it starts zooming every time I click on something, totally unintended. |

The locking behavior of meta keys is a known issue that will be fixed. The recent server crash was due to a DB hardware issue and is unrelated to the Incursion 1.6 release.

Maybe you guys at CCP should clear your own cache to get a minimal clue about proper customer service.
Are you too ****ing stupid to finally implement a method to autoclear unwanted crap your idiot software did create in the first place?
You are asking tens of thousands of paying customers to do repetitive administrative actions over and over again just because you obviously can't program well enough? Do you hate your customers?
When renting a car and it does not work properly, do you expect to get asked to renew the ignition plugs over and over again?
P.S.: Thanks for not reading the Mac thread anymore. Your nonexistent support effort is widely appreciated. |

What about the client crashes a few of us have been experiencing since the release?

My bug report was filtered as "attached to defect" does this mean it's a known bug or what?

Sure. But I think you can change the old "database issue" excuse to something new
By the way I am experiencing a lot of "ghosts" in my Overview Tab. It is a funny new "1.6 feature" that entretain me now that I need to stare at the LCD Screen because of the new "EVEminimized-YourGameCrash" Incursion 1.6 release innovation.

Since the 1.6 I'm sometimes not getting any warp effects (the doppler thing) when warping which is very wierd when it happens. It seems to happen most often with very long warps (~100 au). Happens in multiple ship types/systems/characters.
Also since a long time now (and bug report was useless usual-'worked fine for me bs') upon session change and trying to warp to bm customs office it can take ages for the bm to be warpable. You can warp to other places, bms. You can approach the bm and you align but it won't let you actually warp for a long time (says 'approach' instead of 'warp to 0' and takes ages to change to 'warp' but you move and align if you hit 'approach'). In systems with more than one customs office bm one will be warpable and the other won't be for hella long. It's really annoying and it happens pretty much every time.

well i guess the world of ccp and eve are different form any company i ever worked for if we had so many problems after a relese of it you can bet eveyone involved from the top down to the guy sweeping the floors would be there working on it mandatory vacations cancled get your butts in gear and get it fixed or heads will roll. wish i worked for ccp .the only responce so far(i know i must have missed some) seems to be pi broken were working on it t3 ships flying back wards clear cache or file a bug report but nothing on all the other problems.or a priority list of whats being done. i enjoy playing this game as often at time permits and think it is a great game but the problems with 1.6 has caused alot of problems to alot of players who are currently not getting what they are paying for.it only ads to the fire when we feel that the company isnt paying attention to its customers

You don't recognize an insult when you see one?
Sorry, just couldn't resist that one...
In the world of service - that usually means it has been tied to an internal tracking system the dev's use to track issues they are working. As well, it helps gather up all the reported behavior to better attack the problem and makes it easy to resolve (close out) all the related customer tickets (petitions).

This is a pretty accurate interpretation. Also, in large part thanks to information from the bug reports, we believe we have identified the causes for the reported crash issues and we hope to have these issues resolved early this week.

And why the **** is the Client Download problem not on the "Known Issues" list. Read all the posts about it and you will know it's an issue.
If we can't download the client, we can't play the game. If we can't play the game, we find other things to do. If we find other things to do, we realize how lame broken games are. If we realize how lame broken games are, we don't want to play them anymore.

thank you bella bee... we understand you guys are trying to fix this and it may well be better in the long run, but i think i speak for most of the people having these issues in saying please just respond i get not wanting to respond every five seconds to every single person complaining but at least keep us informed as to what you are working on and what kinda time frames we will hopefully be looking at and it will serve you much better as a company in the long run... it sucks having to take it slow for a week or two but hey now i know you guys should have it figured out and we will be getting a fix shortly so i dont think you are completely incompentent... so please just keep us informed and you guys wont get so many spams and hate mail and we can all move on from this patch and all its headaches

Crashing regularly. Seriously annoying. This wasn't a problem a couple of weeks ago. Haven't installed any new software on PC. Therefore cause would seem to be the latest patch.

Don't see either of these problems in the known issues section of the OP, so here goes:
One thing I noticed the other day that's pretty annoying is the inability of the game to add new objects to the overview in the correct position. For example, when sitting at a stargate waiting for a hostile ship to decloak, the ship will decloak and its overview entry will initially be added to the bottom of the overview. Then, half a second later, the overview will reposition the entry in the "correct" position on the list (based on your overview sorting settings), causing the entry to "bounce" up the list (unless its some guy with a zzzz-name, I guess). It's mega-annoying and usually ends with me trying to lock and approach a stargate or something instead of zooming over to tackle my intended target.
Also, fix the bug where hitting set max speed causes your ship to do a 180. This seems to happen whenever I hit set max speed when a warp disruption bubble is on grid with me-- instead of the ship simply going full throttle the ship turns around and burns full speed toward the center of the bubble. Extremely frustrating when trying to decloak people who jump in through a gate.

I'm having multiple issues; I don't think they've been addressed yet, or at least I have missed the post if they have.
1) Every time I undock, Overview resets itself to the settings I had previously had before the last patch (even though they were not even saved settings). In fact, I can't save any settings. All my saves are erased when I dock and undock.
2) Autopilot disables itself every time I jump through a gate. When traveling, I have to search for my destination system every time I jump, in order to know what gate to go through next. VERY annoying.
3) When typing an eve-mail, or editing my bio, sometimes when the cursor reaches the end of a line, it will actually jump down into my Corp chat channel, so that I have to grab my mouse and re-select the mail window (or whatever it is I happen to be typing in) to continue my message.
All of these problems started right after I installed the latest client update.
