So im in heimatar or something like that. I want to go to the forge, and I dont care what system but of course I want to get there fast.
So are there any none complicated ways of figuring out what system in the region are closest to me and match my autopilot settings?

I don't think there is an automatic way to do what you want, but I haven't played with the map settings in a long time so I don't really know. You can still go to the map, flatten it, have it show all lines and color the map by region. That might not give you the fastest route directly, but you can still tell just by looking at it where the shortest routes are located. If you then select a system in the target region it will show the shortest way there using your current autopilot settings. It's not perfect, but at worst you will just make a jump or two more than absolutely necessary, since there often aren't that many routes you can take to a place without taking a huge detour.
For a more permanent navigation solution, you might want to have a 2D map of EVE available when playing. Either buy EVE strategic map or use one of the 3rd party sites. Some of them work fine with the in game browser. The 3D starmap looks very nice, but in practical terms it's very poor and slow to use compared to a proper 2D map. With a 2D map you usually get a much better idea of the general geography of a region too.

from x y
x=y(-2x) -x=y/2x y=x-2x y=x-x=>x/x y=x
Y=X

Set autopilot to any system in The Forge.
Hit F10 and look at star map.
On the right will show you all the systems you pass through. To the right of their names will be things like "Region change" and "Constellation change"
So then change your autopilot to the system that has "The Forge" as a region change.
You can do all this whilst in warp so it doesn't cost you time.

What the Alt said. Set autopilot to a known system in the Forge, then open the map and look at the lists of systems you're passing through. Look for the one where you're changing to Region: The Forge, that's the closest one.

I like to use Ombey's 2D EVE Maps (PDF)

If you use the Alt method, consider setting auto-pilot to "shortest" Do NOT auto, and know thy hot spots in low sec.
(You wanted to get there fast, no?)

Yes the maps in EVE suck. It's the only game where I hardly ever use the map because it's basically useless. Where's the option for a 2D map and to zoom in and out?
Same for agents: how do I find the nearest agent of a certain corp? Also impossible just to see a local map with a dozen star systems and pick a corp ..

Still totally useless IMHO. Ombey and Dotlan are much easier and more useful for me.
