Quote: ... having import/export features aren't really something I'm thrilled with. - CCP Soundwave
Dude, this statement could've been written to erode confidence in your judgement.
Loot export ended an egregiously banal daily task formerly laid on Eve's long suffering corporation leaders - manually copying numbers from loot stacks. Removing it is exactly contrary to CCP's commitment to "quality of life" improvements.
Taking away players' control of where their data can go was bound to cause a backlash. How could you not see this coming?

No mention of the export feature being fixed. I may have to drive to Vegas next month and ply Soundwave with liquor and hookers.

Someone has to do something, I want this feature back! I'm sick of taking screen shots to try to keep track of loot because I might go link dead and entering the data by hand now SUCKS. Ready to quit running ops.
Though, maybe thats what they were hoping for was to push up market prices?

I know how you feel. I'll go on ops if someone else is handling the loot but I haven't lead one since this patch came out. This "fix" took the 15 second process of exporting the log and posting it to my custom web-app and turned it into a 10-15 minute process. Last thing I want to do at 2AM is tally loot.

I've been advised via petition to add my thoughts to this thread.
I can't stress enough my disappointment that this very useful feature was removed, and at least to my knowledge without forewarning or notice.
EvE is a complex game that requires a tremendous amount of data management to play effectively, especially when working in groups as CCP encourages us to do. Features that allow end users to better manipulate this data for their own needs are essential if players are to consider group activities enjoyable and productive.
Loot logging had its flaws (moving into cans) but it was by far and away the best mechanism available for for tracking the progress of group mining operations and ensuring both a fair distribution of payments and a reasonable live-tally of collections.
The alternative now seems to be the adding up of individual values as they come in which seems to be a dramatic step backwards, especially since as the loot data is still being collected and broadcast to the fleet - it must be in order that the current loot history works, and it is the client itself that is no longer offering a mechanism to collate this information and export it.
To illustrate the scale of this problem, with a 10 man mining fleet and an Orca for bonuses this could generate in excess of 700 individual values per hour.
I would very much like this feature to be returned, and what with the strength of feeling shown in prior posts it would be ideal if it could be expanded upon. This in order that fleet commanders and corporation managers may leverage third party tools to create the data they need, quicker, so that they may return to enjoying the game themselves rather than doing paperwork.
So yes, a re-instatement of this feature, please.

Well said Blade. Another patch has come without mention of this. http://www.eveonline.com/patches/optional/?from=267203&to=268459
I find it disturbing that CCP isn't responding. They have had more than enough time for the devs to have a meeting and decide the fate of this feature. Keeping us in the dark is showing us disrespect.

Maybe this just goes to show who the Dev's really care about. Not so much their cutomers, but rather how they "feel" about export... Sadly enough I don't see any of the Dev's having the backbone to stand up for this issue. Clearly nothing has been done, and nothing seems to be in the works.

Then I assume you argued the issue with the new FPS monitor, and being able to export that? WTFMate?

Although I hugely disagree with this too and I among many do not see the logic in CCP Soundwave's statement, as said before, EVE is full of export features like the API and the market export. I have my doubts as to whether this is CCP Soundwave's opinion or that of the entire CCP.
If this thread/topic is not given a decent response, one which either brings the loot log export back or at least gives a logical explanation as to why the game mechanics made it impossible to keep, then you will most likely see me at the next fanfest asking questions about the removal of the loot log export to the CCP Panel.
And lastly I have one curious question: ........majority of our users........ does that mean if it only applies to 30%, then it doesn't deserve to be in the game, because then you can pretty much dissect the whole game down to the log in screen, flying in space and trading in markets possibly remove mining, moon mining......well most of the game....because most parts of the game are not played by the majority.........."majority of our users".......come on CCP, give a better response than that.
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1513581
Come on my fellow players link this thread throughout EVE, mention it to all your fellow players, ask them to comment in the thread or just to bump it, anything that will show how many players see this feature as useful.......the more we are the less CCP wants to keep the loot log export out of EVE, in the end, I believe, CCP is of players and for the players, with this feature they just failed to see how much it meant to many players.
Yours truely, Keeloux Siind

I too wish for this to be put back. The new look of the history tab makes it very annoying when running mining ops to quickly and easily calculate the amounts I need to distribute to each person. I don't use an orca at present but would hate to be in their shoes at this point.
We can't even arrange the loot history in a particular order anymore as player names, items and amounts aren't in seperate cells...

So since wast majority of industrials use science&industry interface, when will that be fixed then? Takes wayy too many clickcs to do anything at all, Hell PI was fixed in recordtime in similar situation.
